I actually sold two of them for $550 each. All my friends bought a xbone so I had to get one to be able to play with my friends online and I really wanted dead rising 3. That game is sweet I have a blast playing it with my girlfriend too.

Damn those people must have been stuuupid to pay that much. Although only few stores in my area had them.

I hate NBA2k14's menus. It feels like it just changed on me, and the original character I created is completely gone! This pisses me off...

can't they just make it a simple menu?

Sometimes they have server issues. At that point don't create a new character. Or the old one may be gone and replaced by what you create. When I see that message I just close the game and come back in.

Should be out in March.. typically released around or before Spring training. Gamestop has a date I think and a $20 in-game currency credit or something right now. Amazon has nothing yet for a pre-order bonus.

I used to love MLB: The Show, but the last one I played was I think '11 and I found way, way harder than the previous years. I could pitch fine, but I was very lucky to hit .100 over a period of time. Are '12 and '13 as hard as that? I just want to know what I am likely getting into with the new one when it finally comes out.

'13 was real easy on the easy hitting mechanism. Its what I used as I liked to inflate my own ego. 😛

My RTTS 3rd baseman had numerous batting titles and near records for home runs.

can't get excited about playstation now for 2 reasons.

1. i won't be a believer in "no lag" until i play it at home in a real world environment on my ps4, on my home internet connection when millions of other people are also playing it.

2. i can't get excited about playing psx, ps2, and ps3 games on my ps4 when i've owned all 3 of those consoles. i wanna play ps4 games on my ps4.

if it works as promised though, the tech alone is pretty damn impressive.
 
I'd like to play some games I missed on ps3 like beyond two souls, there are probably others. My internet connection isn't the best so it may not work as expected for me. If it's playable that's good enough.
 
I was also pretty interested in the Playstation Now stuff, but I am skeptical too. My biggest fear is that Sony will pull a Sony and promise this great thing and it will be nothing like what they say. I also heard they mentioned something about live and streaming tv and a dvr could service, which would be cool, but until they offer sports channels I won't cut the cord.

Software sales were at 9.7 million and PS+ membership increased more than 90% since PS4 launch as well.

Giant numbers all around. You still can't even find the system on store shelves with a lot of demand still.

This. Sony is competent so they must know something, but seriously Ii just refuse to believe that even a decent home broadband connection will make a lagless (or functionally lagless) connection while maintaining crisp picture on a television.

Bringing the tech to tablets could be a massively disruptive tech if done properly and ideally with a decent controller for the tablet or phone though. In theory, if the device is only a display an iPad could end up playing a game that even a ps4 is too weak to run, if Sony wanted to go that route (not that they will).

Again I am still very cautious about the whole thing, but if it works well, I could see Sony eschewing hardware for their "next gen" and just selling people a nice controller to go with their new service. Not likely maybe but who knows where PSNow is going.
 
Now that both systems need to pay to play online that's no surprise. If Xbox one didn't require yearly payment I bet more people would have switched over from the ps4.

Anyone who gets a ps4 now pretty much will end up with psn plus although you can do a lot of stuff without it if you were not a big multiplayer gamer.

I don't think people ever said people wouldn't pay to play online, it was obvious people would with Live Gold. What people have complained about is how it is shitty to pay for online play though and that is still a valid complaint. PS+ was popular before the PS4 and needing it for online play and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people signed up for it simply for the games they get, I have a few friends that outside of FF14 don't play multiplayer games but bought PS+ for their PS4's simply because they looked at the value it gave. The bulk of the new subs though are undoubtedly from people wanting to play online though.
