Finished Killzone just now and the ending is even worse than ME3 if you can believe that lol. Oh well.

Wow that must be bad. It must basically be "haha, it was a dream!"

What happened? Use spoiler tags. I'll never play it.

Well here you go. I thought it was just poorly written and scripted.

Basically The guy who saves you in the beginning, your mentor and commander kills the Helgan leader then kills you. Then he tries to take over as a dictator, gives a long speech about how the Helgast are a threat and they won't stop blah blah then you assassinate him while playing as the half vektan half helgan woman who was a spy helping you along the second part of the game. You snipe him and she says "for kellan" (Kellan is the main character)." There's just no finale, no big end battle with the boss, no long tirade to make you think that maybe you've been helping the wrong side, no mind games, no plot twist, no dramatic cut scene. It's all very abrupt, the death of the main character was like "sorry son, I raised you and thought I could trust you...guess I was wrong. Sorry I couldn't protect you *bang*" Then it starts the credits but they cut out with static and whatnot...I thought the system was going crazy. Then you drop in and have a cloak suit and a silenced pistol (throughout the entire game you never get suppressed weapons or cloaking device). There's no explination and I had no idea what I was doing or who I was. Some guy came on the comms and game me instructions and I had to shut off 2 security cameras and then grab the stashed sniper rifle and take the shot. There's a neat flyover following the bullet from the rifle but it never shows it his Sinclair (the guy who killed the main character). It cuts out and goes to credits. No scene showing what happened because of all this, the outcome, etc. It just...ends. At least in ME3 the game tried to give you a story and a choice. Make you think about the consequences. This game? Nope...doesn't give you anything at all. Not even enough for a true cliffhanger really.

Yea I think I just want to get rid of Killzone, the more single player that I play, the worse it gets. The best looks like it was in the beginning.

Now it will just be a game I'll worry about finishing last. Maybe I'll just play through on easy because I wasn't getting the hang of it when I first tried it out.

I've really enjoyed the gameplay so, but I'm maybe half-way through the campaign. Based on that spoiler, I'm not surprised Sinclair follows the path he did. He was giving off some weird vibes in how he approached action against the Helghast right from the start. That said, the way you've described the ending seems like it was sloppily handled.

Thankfully, MP is where it's at. Having tons of fun with that. Loved KZ2, couldn't get into KZ3, but SF feels really, really nice online.

Used prices went down quick. Knack and Killzone are in the 30s on eBay now. I'm going to pick up the launch games when they hit around 20.

I can't believe how quickly most games drop in price. Even retail prices of games like knack and killzone and bf4 are down $10 and a couple of those have been available only 2-3 weeks!

Yeah surprising. I'm going to pick up knack Friday maybe after all the loonies have gone home. I'm sure there will be a sale somewhere.

Yeah the ending was abrupt and poorly written. I would have appreciated some sort of explination as to the outcome of the events or maybe even a "we were working for the wrong side after all" type of thing.

The MP is pretty good and the maps seem pretty well designed.

the ending was a bit abrupt. But I think people are making to much of it. IMHO, most games end poorly. So my expectations are low.

There is a 'boss' battle though. Its just did not live up to peoples expectations.

Was the COD Ghost ending any better? IMHO no. Ghosts ending imho was worse, to typically predictable.

So I finally got my FIFA 14 and started playing last night. I have not played previous iterations, since maybe back in '08 or something like that, but this game certainly looks amazing and plays as close to real Soccer as you can get.

The ball actually acts more real than I ever remember a soccer ball acting before and cool little things like the way the net ripples when you score is very cool.

It's also pretty freaking hard. I spent a bunch of time doing drills and while I can do ok in the bronze and silver ones, the gold drills are insane! Was not able to get even close to completing any gold drills. The AI seems pretty decent; lots of fancy footwork which makes playing D a little more difficult.

I started a manager career and I love that mode. Scouting, buying/selling players, etc. Very, very cool.

Is anyone else playing?

I have the demo and it's tough. For some reason the players feel sluggish. I've always been more of a pes fan though. But fifa is more realistic. Even on the easy setting it is tough. When it goes on sale I will pick it up.

I have it on Xbox One (friends all got it there, so I did as well). My only problem is the goalies are OP. I finished a match last night with 9 (yes, nine) shots on target and it ended 0-0... The auto switching is awful as well. I had a few penalty kicks before I turned that garbage off. Nothing like running one direction to auto switch you to a player next to a guy in the box and you sprint right into him.

Ah yes, I turned off auto switching as well. I kept trying to switch to a guy, but it would not let me and some dude would fly toward the box with the ball as the computer player just stood there. Very frustrating.

I've been scoring mostly on crosses/headers. Coming in straight at goal, they seem to stop it most of the time unless I can curve the ball just right.

I've never played pes. Is it on Playstation?

Yeah, my only goals are from corner kicks / head or some lucky follow up after a block. I've tried everything and just can't beat those damn goalies. Even when they rush me and slide down at the ball, attempting to pop it over them never works either. =(

Yea pro evolution soccer was on ps3 and it will only be a matter of time before they make it for ps4. The controls are more fluid, it's a bit better tuned in my opinion. Fifa always felt sluggish compared to PES.

It is pretty crazy. I have not mastered the chip shot yet; I imagine it's a timing thing and once I figure that out I will be able to chip it over them a bit more consistently. Maybe the special moves work too, but they look so complicated I'm not sure I will ever be able to do them in time to make them effective.

Interesting. I will have to check that out when it gets released. Hopefully they put out a demo.

I'll try online play at some point, maybe when my friends finally get their PS4s, but I am scared to try it right now. I feel like I will just get owned. :D

I haven't played a PES in awhile, but this Fifa (at least, the next gen one) is super fluid. I find myself sometimes yelling like I am watching an actual soccer match (at one point the ball went literally between the legs of a defender on my team and I immediately shouted "between your legs? You're a professional futballer! Wtf is wrong with you?".
