As late as 3:00pm when I walked by one near me only 3-4 people were there.

There is no way failure rates are 4%. That would mean Sony's QA sucks ass and doesn't even plug them in.

purbeast please put an MP4 file on a USB and see if it finds it.
 
Stopped by a Gamestop on the way home and while there was a line, most were there to pick up their number in line to pick up preorders at midnight. They said they had 11 extras total and as of 7pm they still had 6.

Don't think these will be reselling all that well.

Where do you live? I didn't get my shipping notification until like an hour ago. And it is usually behind the actual shipping, so I imagine it shipped like end of business day. It is coming from IN, so it is, at most, a long drive.

For what it's worth, in the 6 or so years I've used Amazon, I've never had anything Amazon said was going to be delivered by a date be late.

There will be issues getting them before Christmas, but yeah that doesn't bode well for big scalping. I see people on criagslist still asking $600-700, but obviously nobody has any really to sell yet. They are going for $550+ on ebay, though. I've even seen a few nuts locally asking $1000. These people are insane. The ONLY person who will pay that much now is if they are impossible to find and he has to buy it for his kid for Christmas. It's too far out from Xmas to be asking that much, simply nobody will pay it no matter what.

What do the download speeds look like? Has their network been upgraded?
 
Yea resell value will not be so good. People on eBay are nuts. Highest they will sell is around 500 and that won't be worth it. I have some mp4 files I can test out but will have to update you all tomorrow. Trying to finish up gta v tonite. Glad I'm off tomorrow. Dunno how I got out of an elevation too haha. But I've been on call for the whole week so I guess it makes up for it.

Ebay eats 10%, plus you're out shipping, so your profit is only about $100 if you have to pay taxes on its initial purchase. $100 for what I consider to be a high risk transaction (selling new console on ebay) isn't worth it.

Hell yeah. Ebay is scam city. I'm getting out of it soon myself other than for cheap odds and ends, and even then that will be seldom. I just wish we had the CL that existed back towards the beginning, that too has been ruined by scammers.

What we need is a great reaping of shitty humans. Tens of millions need to be fed into ovens imho. The last thing I can forgive is a scammer. They're about on the same level as child molesters, and should go directly to hell.

I agree and if you've seen my opinion on people from craigslist you know I have spoken on it. Craigslist needs to go to hell and die and be replaced with a better system, one not written by an idiot. It really could be so easy; rating system for people, reduce scammers, it could pay for itself the same way CL does now or some paltry listing price of $.25/listing or something insignificant.

I imagine one could sell a PS4 on craigslist pretty easily now for $525-550 and then there's no chance of being scammed or ebay raping $60 off the top.

Ah, I forgot paypal fees, too!
 
I love how they say "sold out everywhere" before it's even on sale and local stores have extras not pre-sold plus Gamestop said they will replenish next week some time.
 
Somehow Amazon got all my games and PS4 on the same tracking number, I can only assume that's in one box together. Not bad considering that two of the games where out of stock when I ordered them on Tuesday, but are on the way now.
 
Oh Betty! Just got my shipping notification. Guess they rushed it since I was getting annoyed at them. UPS says it should indeed arrive by tomorrow. Honestly didn't expect it so soon. Unfortunately Amazon says AC4 won't ship to me until sometime next week. So I'll be stuck with the PS+ title for a bit.

That's if you aren't in a bad neighborhood and hope you don't get hurt. Anyone gonna be on playing ghosts my name on psn is Selayan. That or killzone since I never played any killzone game before.
 
The PlayStation launch event will be airing at 11PM EST (~40 minutes now) on Spike!

It looks like my only item that won't arrive by tomorrow is Need for Speed as that appears to be in limbo for quite a few people. Although, I still don't know which recharging station to get. There appear to be three of them one from Nyko, Power A and Energizer. I'm always rather picky about the silliest things when it comes to this stuff, but what I prefer is one that sits down, yet does not use some silly adapter to connect to the charging element. However, the port is on the top of the PS3, so I think the only one that charges without that is the Energizer one. My only worry about that one is that I have to be all delicate when putting it back!

I drove by Best Buy on the way home, and there was probably 20 people in line at 6:30PM PST. A coworker was looking to get in line tonight to pick up a PS4. Looks like he will be out of luck, especially in this area.
