I'm excited for second son and mgs 5. Even though I never finished mgs on ps3. Infamous was a good game I just didn't get too into it. Looks like this new one will be a lot better.

Yea for sport games I'll get them used. Also can't wait for uncharted.
 
holy moly the graphics in killzone are really good!

and knack ... i like knack. it feels like a classic game. i like the music and environments in it so far too. it is better than i expected after the shit reviews it got. sure, the graphics look like a hi-res ps3 game, but to me it is just flat out platforming fun. i gotta say i do like it a lot more than i expected. it will probably be forgettable though once i do finish it. but i played that game for a while, probably like 90 minutes or so. also, the game is difficult for sure. they weren't joking lol.

resogun is neat, i don't understand the human thing yet in it fully. i only played it 3 rounds because i wanted to play some kz before i went to sleep.

and holy shit, killzone looks REALLY good. the only thing i don't like about the graphics is the aliasing, it's very noticeable when doing the city wide shots. but damn they look great when it does it! i only played that for like 45 minutes though because i'm beat. i'm going to be playing a lot more tomorrow though.

as far as the controller, wow, feels great. it literally feels like it just falls into your hands. i still don't like the analogs as much as the 360's for fps, they feel too loose, but it is a huge step up from the ds3. and it does't feel cheap at all like the ds3 does.

Glad to hear Knack isnt so bad after all.

Really just want a fun classic video game as a launch title that isn't trying too hard to be serious or realistic.

I canceled my pre-order last week but Amazon has launch editions up right now so I went ahead and re-ordered. Hopefully Killzone mp is as fun as 2 was.

No can do tonight I am afraid. I'm gonna test if it'll play an mp4 video after it updates then start the downloads for PSN+ games.


edit: It would seem PSN is down for the PS4 or extremely hammered. I just keep getting "Please wait" and it never logs in. Also I do not see any way to access a thumb drive from the UI.

psn appears to be down for whatever reason. If you are going to update your console to v1.5 do it via USB because the server is busy and kind of iffy at the moment.
 
Got an email from Amazon.com that they had stock, ordered the launch edition, will arrive Tuesday. I can't see the Ebay sellers making that much this time around.

Went to Walmart on a whim (needed some stuff for school lunches) and they had three (that I could see) so I bought one.
On the way out a lady offered to buy it from me, I told her they had a couple more back there. People are expecting the worst I suppose. They must believe the Craigslist ads about stores being sold out, no stock until after Christmas, etc.
Not sure if I want it, but I might as well try it out. It will probably sit until this weekend. The first Wii U I bought sat unopened for two weeks until I took it back. I bought another after a few more games came out for it.
I figure if I don't like it somebody I know has to need one for a present and they'll get one that's updated already and ready to go. 🙂
I believe this is the second console I've bought at launch (the other being a Dreamcast).
I've never preordered anything in my life, and I doubt I ever will.
 
i ordered a launch edition back in june, right after the announcement. WTF. didn't even get a "shipping now" notice. I just got a "estimated delivery, tuesday the 19th". Almost want to cancel this stupid order now. i'm pissed.
