Isn't she a beauty? Love the look on the console, subtle enough and just plain classy.

I do like the look of the Destiny console, but I'd still prefer a black one. Was kind of hoping to find a deal on the SW Battlefront LE bundle.

For the first time ever on PS4 I had a game get corrupted from a power outage. Have to download it all again.

really?

my OG PS4 had issues and I had to pull the power and hard reset it far too often (which is why I got the destiny one) and I never had it corrupt anything

Yeah the power went out at the house yesterday and when it came back on the ps4 wouldn't load up destiny so I had to download it.

Do you guys recommend upgrading the HD to 1 TB, such as one of these?
1 TB Hard Drive

I'm think of picking up a PS4 for Christmas, and if it's recommended I'd probably swap the drive before hooking everything up.

I would do it. But I've seen that not all hard drives will work. I know a few people who got a specific Samsung drive that would not boot up once the OS was installed. You should be fine with that one and amazon has a good return policy in case it doesn't work.

If you cycle between 10+ games a month you might want a bigger hard drive. Otherwise no. Worse case, you just delete the games you don't play anymore of the HDD. And if you do want to play them again, re download.

I want to put a 1TB SSD in mine, but I'm too cheap to buy one. 🙁

I don't know why you would spend a fortune for a minor improvement in load times. Upgrading to the 2TB already gets you a small improvement over the 500GB just because of the better areal density on the drive. There's a good comparison of load times in this article. Of course the SSD is faster, but not nearly enough that I want to choose one over getting 2TB for under $100.

SSD's don't seem as effective for gaming consoles as they are in gaming PC's anyways, for whatever reason, With consoles it might shave a second or two off, but a SSD in my PC seems to be the difference between a 25 second load screen in wow, or a 2 second wait. For the money I would definitely go with a comparable priced 2TB spindle over a 256gb ssd for consoles.

How does Playstation Plus work? When bought is it per system, so any of the profiles can access online, or do you have to buy a subscription for each gamer profile?

PS+ is tied to your PSN account, but you can designate 1 PS4 as your primary system, and anyone who plays on that system can use the features of PS+ (play online, play the PS+ games you've downloaded, etc.).
