So this might be a stupid idea, but I saw that the PS3 version of FF14 ARR will get a free upgrade to the PS4 version when it releases in April... and the PS3 version is on sale right now for 10 bucks on PSN.... so I sort of bought it.

Anyone in the Beta able to tell me if I just did something stupid?

I played the beta..it's not a bad game, but it's also just like every other MMO out there. If you REALLY like FF world, then maybe it's for you. I got bored and quit before it went live. Grind grind grind but there are a few (in the PC section) that are still playing it.
 
The next non-MMO FF should be FF15 aka Verses 13, which has been in development for like 7 or 8 years, or something ridiculous like that. It's completely CRAZY that it's been pushed back so far that the game didn't make it to the PS3...

Current state of it was that Square-Enix apparently wanted to make sure Japan had an install base of at least 4 million PS4s before releasing the game. So you're looking at 2015i-sh, probably... and it'll take a year to localize, so 2016 for a Western release.

Ha, maybe the above is a little pessimistic, but I wouldn't expect the game anytime soon.
 
I watched videos of it on twitch and it didn't look appealing to me. I did play FIFA today for the first time ever and that was pretty fun

That should have said trading it in. Autocorrect on the stupid phone. Yea I did play some online deathmatch when I first got the game. It was alright, also did some demolition or whatever they call it. It doesn't appeal to me much..the online modes seem kind of hard to understand, they are pretty vast.

I figured if I could get some decent money for it I would trade it for knack. I do want to play 2k14 too but I can wait until the sport games drop prices.

On a weird note, seems like killzone caused my ps4 to lock up many times. Would freeze, I would need to close the app and relaunch it. Today, I put the game in, loaded the campaign and the ps4 just shut down. White light just turned off.

Upon turning it back on I was greeted with, the console was not shut off properly would you like to send this report. That's weird and it never happened before in other games.
 
I'll boot it in safe mode and rebuild the database, that may help according to forums. If it happens again I'll have to call Sony this weekend. Really hoping I don't have to send it in, I do have their extra warranty as well.

Killzone is a great game to show off. Not sure but I may keep it if it helps troubleshoot my issue.
 
I'm going to check on that too. If it's true I would not mind trading in killzone. I feel I got my money's worth out of it. Actually as the credits roll I think I have one more mission.

Hopefully my ps4 doesn't bug out any more. Rebuilt the database, played resogun for a little then loaded killzone again. Seemed to be fine..fingers crossed. I do notice the power plug is not as snug as the hdmi cable is, and you can plug it in either way, there doesn't seem to one way to plug it in, flip it or not, it goes in.
 
I looked on their site and it said 30% extra credit for select games but killzone was not on the list. I'll call a local one today and see what they say.
 
It should be a extra 30% credit towards pre owned products. That's what the website says online

Used PS4 games need to be prolific already. I need to pick up CoD BF4 and all the sports games for $10 just to have and keep up a complete library this gen from day one.

Check the website for in store availability of call first just in case but I'm sure they'd have it. My local store has every game used already for both systems.

Yeah all the sport games need to be 20 bucks lol I want to have them all for when friends come over. Killzone was alright while it lasted but like many said here, it's got nothing special. The story isn't even fun to play through again.
 
Its pretty and has an epic musical score but yeah...cookie cutter modern shooter with the tired
"the aliens aren't really the bad guys"
story.

Someone tried to sell me on it "oh but you can chose your path its different" oh you mean I can either stealth melee or go Rambo and shoot them yeah that hasn't been done 10 years ago.

I can't complain, I got the three best launch titles brand new for $40 each JUST to have something (KZ, Knack, AC:BF)

Its still an improvement on Kileak and Toshinden from my PS1 launch lol.

PS3, Wii U, and 3DS will keep me busy until Namco, Atlus, and...yes Square get cooking with their PS4 debuts.
