I did, too, expires in a month.

PSN is doing gangbusters at the moment. I'm definitely disappointed their landscape is not scaling properly, though not terribly surprised. New PS4 sign-ups (and PSN is more attractive than in the past, since it's necessary for multi) plus black friday $30 for a year can't be helping.

They did disable redemption codes temporarily. I had no issues playing cod earlier.
 
I dont understand why Sony doesnt have a large infrastructure in place for PSN. What have they been doing since the PS3? Sure doesn't look like they expanded the number of servers in their network. The PlayStation community will never get anywhere without having good network and servers in place.

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing. When did psn plus come out? I know for ps3 it was not required but it doesn't look like they service it too well. I've never been on live but I know MS is a lot better when it comes to networking. This and the way they handle issues with the ps4 replacements/diagnosis looks like they were not ready at all for such an event.
 
Set up a return for my PS4. 🙁 I guess I'll see you guys in another year or so. Maybe I'll just wait for a revision. Just couldn't deal with this slow ass wifi, not to mention the lack of games I want to play. Dunno if the packaging was at fault or something else, but I don't really have time to figure it out.

Ah that sucks. You should have tried the Powerline adapters. My WiFi was slightly better with a different channel, I was getting around 7-10Mb down 9 feet away in the living room and around 16-19Mb down in the same room as the router. Maybe they will fix it with a driver update.
I agree the lack of games too. I'm almost done killzone and almost getting tired of bf 4 online and cod. I prefer bf4 but to play with friends whereas with cod I don't mind.

Amazon let you return it now? What did you tell them ?

They automatically set up a return. I think when they get it they decide whether or not to charge a small shipping fee. I just told them I tried whatever I could and wifi was slow as hell, and it may or may not have been due to the fact that I had literally no protective packaging.
 
That's good, glad amazon is decent with support. I'm going to buy the warranty next week. I was thinking about returning to best buy but I already had four games and the Powerline adapters helped me get pretty much my full ISP speed. I would have lost some money, so I've kept it.

It will definitely be nice to play the new infamous. Also I think watchdogs is now releasing in April instead of June. I just hope I don't have any issues with it. I think it's safe to say with the way technology is going these days, it's not always a good idea to buy launch consoles.
 
Heh, yep. Guess I just got caught up in the hype. Realistically I wouldn't have really wanted to spend a bunch on new games anyway. It's always nice to play stuff a few months later at like a fourth of the price.
 
I just want a JRPG. I know that won't happen for awhile but it doesn't mean I can't want. I'm figuring 1 yr after the Japanese release, they will come out with one. Then, 1 more year before it gets localized.

Same here though I got a ps3 a month after launch and I never had issues. As for the games I got buy 2 get one free from target and I found 60 bucks in one of my jeans last week so I bought bf4 haha. I want fifa or nba but it's worth to wait and the sports games drop price much quicker.

Best keep your PS3. Going to be a few years on PS4 for any major entries. They are saying FF VX and KH3 in 2014 but I think those are just placeholder dates at retailers, seriously doubt it given how KH3 looked like a proof of concept and not even a game demo.

There's Bravely Default on 3DS and Tales of Symphonia Chronicles on PS3 just around the corner.

I feel this.

My PS4 will be opened on Xmas and I'll play AC4, but otherwise I have games like Resogun and... nothing. There is nothing else for it of particular interest at the moment.

Meanwhile, i bought a ps3 a week ago and my first time on PSN shows me that I can get multiple excellent games free (just started Xcom), plus a bunch of exclusives for under $10. I have uncharted 2 and 3 ready to go. After that, I want to take a stab at splinter cell blacklist. I looked at the upcoming releases for PS4 and basically they all suck OR they are for last gen as well.

I'll keep my PS4 but my love for new gadgets also got ahead of me it seems 😉

I just realized there is kingdom hearts 1.5 hd and beyond two souls for ps3. I'd love to play beyond two souls but I don't want to spend any more money on games. Besides infamous there is nothing good coming out for either new console.

Splinter cell blacklist is a decent game, definately play all the uncharted games.
 
yep knack is solid. i really don't know anyone who has played it and not had a good time with it. i still haven't touched my ps4 since i got x1 though, i'm on the last chapter so i'm very close to the end (on knack).
 
I did a weird test. I gotta say something is up with the ps4 WiFi cards. My ps3 hooked up in the same location as the ps4, signal is 100% on wireless pulling about 15-18Mb down on the connection test. Ps4 in the same location on wireless gets 8-9Mb down. Good thing I have the Powerline adapters for the ps4.

I'll add you soon, hoping I can get the game on eBay and save some money. I spent way too much on this system and games already haha.
