just a heads up, i did this with the ps3 and wii, and it was an utter failure. i sold a launch 360 for $1700. that is why i decided to have mine end this evening, because that is when my $1700 360 sold for that much, and i sold a few others too after launch and the most i got was $780 for it.

i ended up returning one of my ps3's that i was holding on to sell later on because they weren't selling for squat after launch. wii's sold for like $100 profit after the initial rush.

moral of the story, from my experience, the best time to sell is during the launch day hype lol.

There is also significant risk.

Shipping fees would not come off the bidding price as that is an extra charge that you place when you post the item.

Thanks for the heads up, worst case scenario i have a PS4. Just gonna be tempting not to open it when i get home.

yeah to be honest i was skeptical about opening my TB one because it coulda been a lot of free money, but i'm glad i opened it and really like it after a few hours of play. and i know there will be some great games out Q1 of next year too. i actually had trouble sleeping last night because i was thinking about playing it lol, and i woke up before my alarm went off this morning and was wide awake because i knew if i got to work early i could leave early and play more hah. although, i gotta help my mom with some stuff at my house when i get home, and gotta watch some movies with the wife, but i'll have a couple hours before my wife gets home to play!

i'm actually more looking forward to playing knack than killzone.

Sony is expecting PS4 stock to last through Xmas. This is part of the reason I cancelled mine. As cool as it would be to have a PS4 (there was a pang of regret when I saw allll the dope games coming down the pipe last night), I figured I wouldn't make all that much on it, because there will likely be short pockets of availability. I'm sure I'd get it resold, but I had to ask myself - is $75-100 worth the hassle? And like you, I would have been sooooo tempted to keep it.
 
I'm just pissed that Amazon never shipped my PS4! I ordered the launch edition (now I see it's back in june!) using the "2-day launch day arrival shipping" and yet they haven't shipped at all!!!!
 
My best buy has a lot of pre orders waiting. None for sale though without a pre order. Their two year warranty is 80 bucks. Gonna get mine through Sony.
 
Debating selling mine now. I see a few on CL for like $550. I might try and get $500 and take the post down after this weekend.

I might end up keeping it once it is already here. =3
 
I left after my last response to go find a PS4. I enjoy the hunt.

First I stopped at Toys R Us. They told me on the phone that they had 10. As I'm walking up to the line, some soccer mom LEAPS in front of me right as I'm stepping up, glares at me, and then drills the clerk about a PS4. No dice. She RUNS back out of the store. I walk back out, scratching my head.

Next I stopped by a Gamestop in a nearby mall, where some pimple-faced recluse was arguing with the poor clerk about why it's stupid that they don't stock PC games. The guy would not leave! I'm standing behind him patiently waiting, the clerk has answered all of his questions, but the fucker would not go away. Finally I just said "dude, go home and download whatever the hell it is you're looking for." He looked at me like I had horns and walked out of the store.

BACKWARDS.

The clerk and I just looked at each other. Anyway, no PS4.

I'm about to leave the mall when I see Sears. I had already checked their online inventory (which said NONE), but figured "what the hell... WalMart was wrong and no one even remembers Sears exists, so let's give it a shot." They had three.

As I'm checking out, another "gamer" tells me that I should sell it on ebay for $1000.

"Umm. No, I think I'll play it."

"I saw one sell on ebay for $1000!"

"Well that's moronic. Anyone who wants a PS4 is going to get one in the next few weeks if they just be patient."

I thought he was going to have a stroke when I said that. He started quoting all of these articles he's read about the supply and demand of the PS4, blah blah blah.

Whatever. I'm home. Downloaded the update in 2 minutes flat. Installing now. Going to spend the day playing Battlefield 4. Suck it.
 
Love the ds4 it feels great. Updating mine now via usb. One thing I don't like is how power and eject buttons are so thin. I had a hard time trying to put it in safe mode.
 
I guess there is a downfall to having this many units available at launch. I've been stuck on the login screen with a "please wait..." for a really long time. PSN getting slammed.

Edit: Looks like their website is also having issues. I give. Time for BF4 on PC.

Yeah I hear a lot of people on ebay are simply saying they're not getting the pre-ordered PS4 they bought (when someone just changes the shipping address) and there's pretty much nothing you can do about it. Or something.

Also, if anyone wants to add me on PSN, my name is kekeZergRush I think. If I make it home in time for the UPS (or they just leave it), I might end up picking up NBA2k14. I am wondering if I could trade in my Madden on 360 for the upgrade on the PS4 version.
