Oh I thought they had to be the same card. Well, I would rather have a custom AIB and cooler. I have heard that the custom models should be here by next month. For now my card handles pretty well. What's weird is ghosts for pc recommends you have a 780. One of the reasons I'm getting it with my ps4.
 
I hope we get some reviews out for the PS4 games. Playing Knack in Gamestop did reaffirm the game for me a bit after people lambasting it in here. I think my biggest complaint about the game was that the combat felt really stale because of the lack of moves. All you can do is cannonball yourself at enemies or punch them... and that's it. Knack's made of a bunch of particles... why can't he fire off his hand or something?

The only problem is that the Hawaii cards fix the Crossfire frame pacing issues by getting rid of the CrossFire Bus and just using XDMA over the PCI-Express bus. It doesn't affect you if you game at 1080p, but for more information, Anandtech talked about it in the 290X review.

The 280X and the 7970 are both GCN (Hawaii is GCN 1.1), and have the exact same hardware. Although, the 7970GE has higher reference clock speeds than the 280X.
 
My guess is reviews should be in this week but after the whole MS thing with the guy on Twitter that got the system early, they may not publish them out. I have yet to see a ps4 in any stores with available demos. It won't change my mind because I'm still getting one either way on Friday.

I'm really disappointed that watch dogs was delayed. That was the one game I have been waiting to play. I was about to buy bf4 for my pc but looks like I will get it on sale during black Friday so better to wait.

I haven't seen, either. I Have checked one gamestop, a best buy, 1-2 targets, a walmart all within the past 2-3 days.

Yeah I hope we see reviews soon too so I know whether to get Knack or something else. I am thinking of picking up AC4 if Knack gets bad reviews or something. I was gonna get AC4 on PC but my 360 controller is really worn out and the PS4 controller is barely functional on PC. I am hesitant to buy another controller for PC when it's likely that the PS4 controller will get some 3rd party drivers and of course the XB1 controller will get support later on.
 
I think AC4 is a safe game, because you know what you're getting. Especially if you have played AC3 on PC. Both use the same engine and should look about the same on both platforms.

Ran into a snag with my PS4 pre-order. Apparently my credit card was compromised in some kind of hack, and Capital One never bothered to tell me. So NCIX is telling me they can't put the order through because MasterCard has blocked it. Fair enough, but NCIX is kind of being dicks about it too. Lady on the phone was quite rude. So now I have to do the leg work and see if they'll take an alternate payment method, as the new CC will take a week to get here. They're also the only major etailer that doesn't have customer service staff on during the weekends. So I have to sit with my thumb up my arse till Monday to get this sorted. Jeez, been a regular customer of theirs since 2005. Though I've noticed they've kind of gone down hill over the last couple of years. Must be under new management or something.

Yeah I played all the AC games and enjoyed them more or less. AC3 was a low point for me but I still got through it. Sucks about your situation. Hopefully they can just take a different card or something.
 
I'm gonna get AC too. I hope target also has ghosts so that I can just cancel my pre orders at best buy for bf4 and ghosts, watchdogs.

I'm going to wait till black Friday to get bf4 on pc. I also need to check out the need for speed game.

Are any of you going to target tomorrow or is it safe to say we should wait until Tuesday?
 
Is ghosts only gonna be another one of those 6 hour SP campaigns? It looks fun and I enjoyed the COD series other than it's so freaking short and they want $60 for 6 hours.

I'm not sure about the length. They are all roughly the same length. Black ops 2 was a bit longer for me. I played online a lot and only did single player just to finish it. I didn't like the sp on black ops 2 at all.

This is why I don't keep games. I buy, finish, sell. Gta v cost me around $22 after fees and crap related to reselling. Tomb raider I rented from redbox and I don't think it took more than a week to get through. My entire collection of 360 games is extremely small because I know most games I will never play again. This is also why my movie collection is around 10 movies, most of them gifts, even though I watch more movies than most people.

i didn't get one yet, but from what i'm hearing it is for people who preordered a bundle, which will kinda make this compete with the target b2g1.

i preordered the console alone fwiw.
 
Been looking on the net and it seems you can get 30% off coupon at target with the buy 2 get 1 deal. You have to buy any video game related item and have it rung up at the front register. Like a pre order card. Then you can get your 3 games and have them apply the 30% to the total. Some people on neogaf talked about this. My target has killzone, cod, knack in stores according to their online website.

But I don't want knack I want AC. So I guess I'll try this Tuesday. Actually, AC is available at best buy for ps4. But I talked to the manager and they said they don't price match promotional bundles like at target.

I always go back and replay games if they are good. I may replay a game once a year or so for 20 years. I still to this day will bust out some PacMan, Metroid..etc.
Recently I was regretting selling POP: Sands of time because I now want to replay that again but I can't however chances are it may not play on my current PC anymore. But consoles, that's where it's different so that's the platform I always go back on. SO for a good game I really enjoy, I prefer to purchase the console version just for that very reason.
I have replayed some of first 2 modern warfare games already so if this one is good, likely will want to play it again someday. Just not for $60 for 6 hour game.

nah they are supposed to be arriving "on or about november 12th" according to the rules, but could be later than that for people who won late in the contest. not sure if my win was considered late or not.

they also told me i will not get a notification once i'm verified as a winner (or not lol) and will not get a notification when it is shipped out.

You won't get a notification if you are a verified winner, lol that is odd. You might have it by the 14th. Looks like I'll have to try and take a swing at the amazon deal while I'm at work. Which might suck because it will be around lunch time and they may just sell out completely.

I didn't pre-order a bundle though, when I pre-ordered my PS4 they didn't have bundles up yet. I did however, pre-order BF4 about 3 days later so maybe that's why.

Probably going to get Knack and AC4, the rest of the available titles don't interest me at all.
