Has anybody gotten 100% of the achievements yet? what happens when you do? I just completed the "kill a turret with another turret" thing. it was soooo fun. i just launched dead turrets at other turrets through portals. great time. who needs cubes to kill them when you can just use turrets? or just jump onto them, that's fun too.

If you can get one turret to shoot at another, its hilarious!

I finished 4 of the advanced levels. Can't seem to finish the 2 on the far right.
I know what I have to do for the top right one, but can't seem to pull it off.

The bottom right one, I can get across the gap, but can't figure out what to do next.

sweet, I wrote down the login when I saw it but forgot about it. There's some sort of hidden message in that application. Certain letters flash at you in the questions. I probably missed a couple but I got "hecale" when I strung them together. I'm guessing it's "the cake is a lie"

Finishing all the Advanced levels is a bit of work. I hope people make more maps like the advanced ones.

I  the turrets :)

My wife thinks the turrets are cute, lol!

Are you still there?
Hey put me down!
Waaaaaaah!
I don't hate you.

I also love the first eye of the boss:
Ooh, whats that?
What's that?
What's that!
Ooh, that has numbers on it!
What's wrong with your legs?
What's that burning smell?
Aaaaaaahh!

Does this game require a high level of intelligence? What if you were 10 years old? Would you be able to figure it out?

Probably, but not all kids are created equally. I was playing TF2 with a 10-12 year old the other day, some guy kept ragging on him about his voice.

I don't see why an intelligent 10 year old couldn't finish the game. None of the puzzles are hugely demanding, certainly not in the main game. I haven't had time to do the bonus ones yet. Valve train you in the basic concepts and there are visual clues everywhere.

I liked the puzzles. I loved the story. I haven't played Episode 2 yet, but I already feel like I received my money's worth.

can anyone do the steps challenges? I don't understand how it is possible. I have only done the first one. I usually end up with around 50 steps, and the goal is 30(for just a bronze) how do you do it? Is there some trick?

i only tried 1 challenge, and that was with fewest portals. 9 was the limit. i did it in 8, but it looks like you need 5 to get the #1 spot? I have no idea how you could it.

Actually you need to do it in 4 portals for Gold, I did it, I have 4 golds on doing it in as few portals as possible. I have 3 golds I think in time. but I just don't get the steps thing at all.

Neither are adults. It was basic geometry and physics I thought. I wonder if this game relates to IQ testing as well.

Steps are kind of broken, because you can do different # of steps doing almost the same exact moves. It all depends on if the game registers a step at that very instance.

You can actually do the first puzzle in 3 portals though, surprisingly enough. The least portal challenges are the most fun.

Jut finished this off last night. I was at level 18 and got caught up in HL1 and TF2 for a few days. Man, what a great game this was!

does anybody know what the wall writings were suppose to be about? Just humor and help along the way or something more? I kept expecting to find someone and never did :(

That was a bug I read about on the Valve forums.

Go to the options and change the dialog to another language, hit apply, then back to english. That should correct it from what I remember reading.

You can use some of the info from the walls at aperturescience.com

Also, if I had to guess, I'd expect them to run Portal into the real HL2 (or HL3) story. Perhaps the other person escaped earlier and will meet up with Gordon or something like that. Who knows.

Neat game, and thank god it's short.

Now what i really want to see is a multiplayer deathmatch. No added guns or anything, just a large area with many hazards in which to creatively dispose of your opponents.

Least steps is a whole lotta fun once you figure out how to move around without taking any steps at all :)

I think I was able to complete the Challenge level with all the sentry guns with only the steps to get off the elevator and back on. But motion-sickness prone people need not apply for least-steps challenges.

Hmm, after reading other people's audio problems, I remember that the "Voice" tells you that the cube may talk to you and that you shouldn't listen to it. I never heard the cube say anything. Anyone else notice this, or did the cube talk to you?
