my friend left the house at 10 and said "ill be back with a wii trust me theyll have it"

I believe he went to best buy in springfield or costco in alexandria. He went to one of those.

He comes back home with nothing in his hand.

As far as I knew, most stores in the area, including BB and Costco weren't having midnight sales. I know the TRU in Alexandria was one of 18 in the nation that were doing the midnight sale.

The only reason Walmart was doing the midnight thing is because almost all of them are open 24 hours. Maybe that was his problem?
 
I'm debating whether I should pick mine up at midnight in a couple hours, it's on reserve at eb about 10 min away. Should I? I guess I really want to try it, haven't had a chance yet.
 
i think the TRU in nyc times sq should be fine; i was there for the launch and it was pretty cool; didn't get one but thats only b/c i didn't feel like waiting in that line, BUT from talking to many ppl there it seems like that TRU has thousands of wiis.

ya. so we just went to mcd's and then went home. we'll sleep comfortably and hopefully just walk in and walk out.

it was fun though to check it out and see all the crazies in line (esp. the first dude who apparently was waiting for like 8 days; what an idiot).
 
Longest waiting person in the line for the Wal-Mart in our town was waiting since 6 this morning. I watched as she bought it and asked if I could go home with her and play with her Wii.

I've decided I'm just going to wait for mine to come from Amazon.com. I'll go to Target tomorrow and use my 10% off coupon to buy extra controllers and some socks or something.
 
Debating on whether to go out now, or go out in 4 hours. I honestly dont expect much more people to show up between 12-4AM, so I think I will just wait a while.

Of course I could just load up a sleeping bag and sleep it out...

Local place around here has 25, and is doing a drawing to see who gets one, so I always have that as my fail safe.
 
my brother picked his up tonight at midnight at EBgames. He won't get to hook it up till maybe tomorrow night, he has to be at work at 6:00 am ...
But he said there were about 10 or so at EBgames and they would only let people with a preorder in the store. CC had campers though..

I can't wait to try it out, it will help me decide whether to buy one or not 🙂
 
😉just got back from Columbus where my friend and I picked up our Wii's

I am too tired now to hook it up/play it..so tomorrow should be a fun day!

I gotta get up at 11am to pick up Zelda/Classic Controller


 
got mine hooked up and have played zelda for about the past three hours... I love this game. I can't get it to connect to the shop yet so I'm guessing it's not up and running yet?? I updated my console but can't get to the shop.. oh well.. guess I will see tomorrow if any new updates have happened.
 
my uncle is in line at CC right now but they dont open until 9am which sux cus i thought they would do a midnight thing and damn Rolla^^^ im jelous you're playing it
 
Just got back from my local Fred Meyer. They got 4 PS3's friday...but had 54 Wii's tonight. They did a raffle for the PS3, but tonight they did a line up. I was #21. Bought Madden, Zelda, Red Steel, and a extra (complete) controller.

Too tired to play tho, was out there since ~11:30 this morning. All 54 units were accounted for by between 8 and 9pm. So there were people coming, then leaving clear on up to midnight.
 
I've been playing around with mine, just got around to connecting it to the net which worked fine. Wii sports is fun, need to try zelda. I'm very happy with it overall.
 
My Wal-Mart got 32. I was planning on going out about 8pm but my friend called at 2pm and told me he was #25 in line. I got to Wal-Mart as quickly as I could and ended up being 29 out of 32. They had more zeldas than consoles, so I was happy. The person 1st in line couldnt wait for the group to make it outside so they ran out, and got robbed. Police everywhere after that watching the rest of us to our cars.

The shop is up. I didn't try to buy, but I saw the virtual console games for sale and it has a place where you can enter your credit card info.
