looks like i won't be able to make a killer instinct mobile app since their will be an official prima one already. although, there was an sf4 one too and it cost $10 which is why i made one for $1.

also ended up preordering this today too since the release date switched to 11/22 from 11/29 initially.

i actually cancelled my guide preorder after thinking about it more. i was just caught up in the KI hype yesterday after watching more stuff on it and being a little tipsy from drinking while watching football all day.

the guide will have 6, maybe 8 characters in it, and i don't know, i just don't know if it is worth it for $25. the prima MK hardcover guide was really bad, and i purchased it and probably opened it maybe 1 time after the initial look through.

i may order it again as launch comes closer, or after launch, even if it's just for collectors sake. i just don't really collect things for the sake of collecting anymore, but since it is KI i might change my mind.

i'm still unsure about the pin ultimate edition too, but i think i'll keep that preorder just because i like the hardcover. i didn't plan on getting the ultra edition downloaded, only the combo pack, so it's basically $40 more than i was going to pay. but i guess i can just chalk it up to being a ki fan.
 
If I was going to buy a guide I want the full roster inside. Thats the bad part of having a staggered character release. I will probably look at online guides and such instead.
 
bump for the info coming out today. 3pm est they will start the 2hr ign special, then the normal 1hr weekly ms stream will commence. will definitely see orchid and supposed to see at least 1 more character. speculations are high on spinal, and also on fulgore.

there are 8 characters in season 1. 6 at launch, and 2 that will be coming at the latest like february i think they said, hoping to get them out by the end of december. then you have shadow jago, which is at launch too, but they haven't said shit about him and he's a "special" character.

Don't you get shadow jago from the $60 pack or am I mistaken?

no, it's a year of xbl and shadow jago for the free version of ki. so instead of the full game with jago, you have the full game with shadow jago too.

So you still buy the game gotcha. Hm...I wonder what differences shadow jago has or if its just a skin. Google doesn't come up with any real results. Maybe they will have info on it soon. They are being very confusing with their wording and lack of info about what you really get.

actually they have been very clear about what you get for which version, there is an image of it i posted somewhere earlier in this thread that explains it all. they have just been quiet about shadow jago in general though.

you don't "have to buy" anything to use shadow jago other than day 1 xbl.

I was specifically talking about shadow jago and that day one edition. There are posts on other forums with conversations with people at MS who don't really have details. I know you don't ha e to buy the game to use the character but you don't get the full game when you buy that card is what I meant. So if you want the full game you still gotta buy it

yeah, you are looking at the game in the wrong light.

you get the "full game" for free, as in all functionality is there with jago. what you don't get are all of the characters for free. that's what the other $20 is for, or $5/character if you want to pay for that. but i think you already knew that, just clearing it up in case because you keep talking about the "full game" when the "full game functionality" is free.

i hope today they do talk about shadow jago. i think them NOT talking about it is bad because who wants that day1 xbl for a character they know nothing about? hell i woulda maybe already preordered it had i known more about him lol. i already have every other possible killer instinct thing preordered, what is $60 more?

Yes exactly thanks. I say full game but I mean all the characters etc. I hope there is a little more clarification today too.

Watched the stream, Orchid looks very nice. I am glad the kept the original moves, and the tiger taunt is awesome 🙂 Only move I didn't see was her ranged fireball type attack.

Also Spinal revealed at the end of the trailer as many people here though would be the case. I was never really a spinal fan, would really loved to have had Fulgore or Cinder.

Do we know when season 2 would roughly begin? is it a 6 month thing or like a year + thing?
