cannot believe how bad the rage quitting is in this game. i hadn't played ranked in a while but played for like 2 hours last night maybe, and it's ridiculous how many rage quitters there are. i think it's because the OS is so flawed and it's so easy for people to quite out of games now. all you gotta do is press the guide then load another game and you're out of the current game. i hope there is some way they can figure out how to punish rage quitters in this game or else ranked is going to be a waste of time.

With classic Killer Instinct online (SNES X-BAND videogame modem) it was called "pulling." "Pullers" would pull the phone cord out whem they were losing. The win was supposed to be awarded to the player who got best of three rounds and, IIRC, they patched it so that it would still award the wins and losses based on whoever was ahead/behind. All that did was make people pull when the tie was about to break or pull on the first round, so they patched it again to award the lead player the win and the losing player neither a loss nor a win. This prompted some people to game the system by pulling after winning the first round so that they could eliminate the chance of you catching up, win more matches faster, and climb the ranks easier. At first this would assign you the loss as if you pulled.

Also one of these so it hits the microswitches in the stick quicker and doesn't mess with the neutral zone. It's similar to the tape mod I did but this is more precise. The original actuator is on the right. http://www.focusattack.com/kowal-1mm-oversize-actuator-for-sanwa-jlf-series-joystick/

In the diagram above: Neutral Zone (area where actuator doesn't touch switches) is indicated in BLUE; Dead Zone (area where actuator presses begins pressing switch) is BLACK; Activation (are where switch is pressing down) is RED. KOWAL™ actuator retains the neutral zone. This allows switches to perform normally.

Amazing! Got my fightstick at 6:30PM, right before I leave to my GFs parents for the night. I am glad UPS decides to take their time today. If I am at work, they get here at 11AM, but when I am home it is damn near 7. =(

The box is much less impressive than the previous TE sticks. Not as thick cardboard and no window. No certificate either. =( The stick itself is nice, for all the touching I could do before I leave. Maybe tonight!

i think the box is way sexier than the sf4 one. but you are right that it's less quality cardboard. the artwork on it is sick.

After about an hour or so with the stick, I have to say it is one of the nicest sticks I've used build quality wise. I have an original TE, a Cross Tekken TE and an HRAP Pro and this stick is much nicer than all of those.

And KI is so much more fun when I can do a DP 95%+ of the time correctly. >_> I am so awful on pad.

I will definitely hit you up. I am not particularly good yet (I never really did the competitive KI in the past), so I am still learning the system. I have found that I end up doing manuals more often than autos in the dojo (which doesn't help me pass the early things at all).

Killer Instinct got an update and the free character has changed. You can play as Saberwolf for free now instead of Jago.

The patch notes say you can disable toasts. What the heck does that mean? Lol

i'm curious to see how the retro orchid and jago look too, they are in there on accident.

it told me about the update when i went to load ki up last night. but i don't have mine in standby mode so it doesn't update anything until i turn mine on.

went up against pr balrog last night in ranked. he's been streaming like every night for like 6 hours, playing so many matches in a row. i did okay against him but he still raped me. everytime he was doing his charge move and you see my glacius like bounce up/down, i was trying to do a damn puddle punch and nothing came out. happened like 2-3 times.

I don't know what the answer is but ranking is so fucked, well at least in NZ/AU. I'm lvl 10 but there are so so many level 15-25s that are really really bad players, like should be lvl 3 or 4. I'm fairly certain that loads of people rank up really high because if there is even the slightest chance they can lose they menu quit out so they never lose ranking points .

On the flip side I have also seen heaps of SP 1 MP 1 ranked players that are really really good so smurfing seems to be an issue as well.
