hmm i haven't ran into anyone who knows what they are doing with sadira. i think it's way too early to say someone is not balanced, especially considering she is a totally new archetype.

larnz for your first gripe, i think you can track that stuff under the one option that lets you look at your progress. i thought when it shows the titles it has meters and stuff that show you where you are in the progress.

Well every time I have played against sadira I get webbed from above and then locked out with a 10 hit combo multiple times. No other character is as annoying.

so block or do the correct combo breaker?

When you are locked out immediately? Impossible.

Move in and do a move. They jump and web me then combo and I am locked out and you cannot block prior to the web move or the lockout.

If I sit back and try to do stuff from a distance then simply jump in and do the above. If I do manage to block the web there is a stun duration and I get wacked anyway.

there is no such thing as "being locked out immediately". if you are getting "locked out immediately", it's because you are attempting a combo breaker as soon as you are hit, and failing, thus resulting in a lockout.

you should go through dojo mode because it seems you don't understand how the combo breaker system works.

your 2nd and 3rd paragraphs, well that is part of the game, trying to find ways in, and you are getting outsmarted by your opponent if you can't get in on them. spacing is a huge part of fighting games and you are just getting out spaced big time it sounds.

I am not the only one saying sadira is cheap and op though.

it is because she is a new character with a new archetype that people don't get yet. will take some getting used to to figure her out. and calling someone "cheap" is just another way of saying "they are doing stuff i dont know how to counter".

Typical fgc response. Ignore legit complaints and counter with "you just aren't good".

There are many games with real issues with how certain characters can be exploited that are legitimate complaints. It is unfair IMO to write them off so easily. Its fine though, I'll get better but there are a couple small things that sometimes feel off when the rest of the game is solid.

Free character? Sorry I haven't really followed much of the game.

Yeah jago is the character you can play as for free even if you dont pay for any characters. You can download the free version and use jago.

dude the game has been out for less than 3 days and you are talking about a new character to the ki world with a new archetype being overpowered, and explain because of air web moves she does that you can't defend, when you didn't even know why you were getting locked out. give it some time before you start coming to conclusions about who is overpowered.

She is cheap though. She is the only char that has an auto double that is an overhead then a low. That is very very hard to block even if you know its coming. Its not that it cannot be countered I'm just saying that it is a ridicously strong and potent move that none of the other chars have that is almost a 90% guaranteed currently to start a combo.

It's not broken per-se just too easy with one button press for such an effective move.

there can't block "auto-doubles" so i'm not sure what you are referring to. auto-doubles only happen mid combo when you are already getting rocked. are you referring to a normal move she has that can hit high then immediately low, so it's tough to block?

orchid also has the rekkas that hit normal then overhead. sabrewulf also has movies like that as well. you can also do this with thunder by doing his overhead then his special move that is qcb+k. you can also do jago's crouching mk then his overhead too, or vice versa.

if it's these mixups you are referring to, sadira is not the only one that has this.

Yeah sorry auto double was the wrong word. The issue with hers is that the air web if you block it seems to provide a second or so of block stun in which she can immediately do the overhead-low which is quite fast and therefore hard to block, not impossible but on 95% of people < rank 10 almost a guaranteed combo opening. I have 200 ranked games under me now and when ever I see her its that exact move over and over because its very hard to stop. All other chars are varied and exciting games she is just meh. jump - qtrc-b HP - forward med kick rinse repeat.

i havent faced very many sadiras so i don't really know how they are playing her, but i do konw what move you mean. can't you just jump up in the air and do an air attack to counter that move? it's very to see since she jumps back before she moves forward.

i'm actually using her right now in survival mode and that move doesn't seem to hit unless the spacing is proper.

Nah the move where she throws a web down & forward and if it lands she gets pulled into you. Its qtr circle forward and heavy punch iirc. You can then land and follow it up before the block stun wears off or atleast very close to it causing an opening in itself as they try to react.

oh ok you said qcb so i was doing that. yeah i know what move you mean.

my te2 has been delivered! can't wait to break it out when i get home tonight! going to swap in an octo gate and an extra spring or two before i even use it though. so long shitty pad!!!

I'm sticking with the square gate myself. I got used to the feel from using it with SF4. Just gonna do a spring upgrade. I'm thinking of changing the ball top to a Seimitsu Red Bubbletop though. So it will match the buttons a bit better.

not sure if you know, but there is a spring pack at home depot that you can get that has like 3-4 springs that fit in the joysticks, instead of ordering them for like $5 each for the specific ones by sanwa. they are like the same springs, and the full box of em are like $4.50 at home depot.

i could never get used to the square gate. and many people think i'm crazy because i use an octo gate and my main was balrog, a charge character, who the square gate benefits a lot more.

I have a seimitsu spring left over from a two pack I bought a couple years ago that i'll use. You did mention the home depot thing before. I like to double up a spring with the stock sanwa spring. The gate is just something I've gotten used to and I like feeling the corners. I do remember playing a lot of fighters with the Happ sticks and buttons which didn't really use a gate or it was a round one. I guess i'd need to try an octo gate and see what I think. Maybe i'll order one and swap it in after I have some time on the square gate and see which I prefer.

i actually have a circle gate for the sanwa too. i wanted to try it after using the octo gate for a while, because growing up with happ parts the had no gates or anything. the sanwa circle gate feels a lot like how the happ feels, because it is the same thing where there are no directions to "catch" the stick. but after using the circle gate shortly i went back to the octogate pretty quickly. i think the circle gates with the sanwa is a little tougher because the sticks have much less of a throw than the happ parts do. it was a lot easier for me to get directions with the happ joystick than it is for the sanwa with the circle gate.

if you like the square gate i really would see no reason why you would want to really try something different, unless it's just for the feel.
