You must be talking mk3 and up, and I agree. I hated the button memorization combo system, but mk1 and 2 were very similar to the way sf played. I enjoyed them much more thank mk3 and up.

Nailed it. That's exactly how I was thinking when I wrote that. Though I was never good at MK and MK II but I still enjoyed watching pro players tear my friends up on XBAND and played a fair bit myself. I still liked Street Fighter II and variants better mostly because I hated the awkward block button but then KI came around and blew them both away, IMO.
 
just noticed on madcatz website that there is no longer a date on the preorder page for the te2. last time i checked it said that it releases on 11/22.

i really hope those of us who preordered day1 get it by the 22nd of november.
 
Bah, I just got an email saying that the release date for them here has slipped from 22nd Nov to the 6th of December 🙁
 
ah yeah, it looks like even big time dealers in the us like amazon and gamestop won't even have them until december 13th or so.
 
I still prefer the super nintendo Street fighter compared to the latest one, and the way this new one looks, I think it will have the same effect.

i noticed the LOBBY option is grayed out in the XBOX LIVE menu. i hope that is ready to go at launch.

So, KI Classic will not be sold outside of the Ultra edition. Includes the arcade version and the updated version, which is I imagine similar to the HD remix.

If you guys want it, only chance is the Ultra edition. Double Helix has spoken.

pretty sure the updated version is just the filters and stuff added to it. i also know they have both the original and the 1.5 rom version included. my arcade board has the 1.5 version, which removed a lot of glitches and the cinder and eyedol infinites i believe.

my guess is that it was setup with the opponent, and it involved a bunch of counter breakers to keep the combo going, all the way through the entire life bar, and then a double ultra at the end. notice they don't show the end of the combo that shows how much damage it does.
