Big question for me after having played with my Ipad for a couple weeks. I have the unlimited 3g plan (just got in before the deadline)....can I transfer it to somebody else if I were to sell it?

Hmm...don't see why you couldn't switch the cc info. Unless they'd take that as a cancellation and resubscription.

Heh, it didn't take me long to decide to jailbreak my iPad. Does anyone know any alternatives to the lockdown app? It doesn't seem to work on iPads...

I am just gonna use the gmail webpage for now, but I'd really like to use the mail app.
 
Man, times like these when the power goes out due to tornado spawning hell storms, Im really glad I have the 3G version.
 
I noticed a piece of dust under the screen of my replacement iPad. It's kind of annoying because I tend to look at it all the damn time now that I know it's there. Worse part is that otherwise, this unit is perfect. Wondering if I should ask for yet another exchange...I almost want to just return it at this point. 🙁

Any advice?
 
got the new one replaced again.

omfg, despite apple being great and loving the ipad, I am so sick of my bad luck and embarassed by going to the store continually. This new ipad has a stuck pixel! I think I'll try and just return it.

You choose what albums (from iPhoto) you want to sync in iTunes. Some apps can save photos to the saved images album but I'm not sure if any can make their own.

It's a bookmark. Add a bookmark and it'll give you an option to add a shortcut to the home screen.
 
So I got an iPad yesterday (32GB wifi only); no issues connecting to my wireless network so far.

Now I have to figure out what the hell I'm going to do with the thing 🙂

the keyboard sucks on iphone os 3.2 - and the btmouse drivers are super sucky laggy. hopefully ios4 will sort that whenever it comes out end of year?
 
no idea. i think iphone os 3.2 will be around for the ipad for a while. It was my undestanding the ipad will not get ios 4 tomorrow but it will be a while??

Apple said "this fall" for iOS4 on the iPad. I would surmise that "this fall" means ~september when Apple traditionally holds their iPod event.

What kind of music controls? Double tapping the home screen gives you popup iPod controls which is fine for me. I've got a jail broken iPhone for unlock, but other than that I don't use much so I haunt bothered jail breaking the iPad yet.
 
Any good, free software to rip DVDs into a format for the Ipad? Would like to rip a movie or two of mine to bring with on a trip to watch on the plane.
 
ipad is tricky to do high def without burning the battery. i wonder if you use GOGO if you could stream air video. it can transcode but not very high res/quality. you know whats odd the iphone is far more picky on codecs than the ipad. i'm not sure if its the A4 cpu or what.
