The point is to have many normal sized emails over a long period of time, not a few large emails at once. There are other, much better and easier options for online file storage.
 
You gotta hand it to the marketing people at Google, they got us like dogs scammering for scraps of food being thrown in the cage a bit at a time. 😀

I know, but had hoped that a large Picture, etc could be attached...say 20MB.

can you imagine how fast there servers would halt if they allowed people to send gb emails.

i remember when i first heard about gmail, i was like, sweet, i can email myself divx rips for online storage!
