There have always been players in these combat shooter games who are in it strictly to boost their kill numbers, with no interest in playing, winning or losing the game. Deathmatch does not present as many opportunities for those people as games like Domination or Conquest where they park near an objective and snipe people who are trying to win the game.
Just the way it goes...

Exactly. In fact I love it when they're on the other team. Holding the domination points becomes like shooting fish in a barrel. That's why I need people to use voice chat: so when I clobber them 200+ to 0, I can mock their stupidy

But when they're on your team - or in your squad FFS - it's so maddening you want to choke a kitten.

Well I've played the game on both consoles and can say without any hesitation that the game looks better and plays smoother on the PS4, hands down. The differences are not subtle. Of course, you can actually play Conquest on Xbone, so there's that...

I don't have it on PC but I have it on Xbone and PS4... it's definitely more stable on PS4 but you can't play Conquest. You can play Conquest on Xbone, but I get tossed from games all over the place.

I'm getting booted out of Conquest on the x1 too... Was hoping it was just a PS issue but nope.

Not to mention how bad the game looks on x1. I was just about set to keep the x1 over the PS4 but I just cant justify the significantly worse graphics for one or two games (Titanfall, Forza). Ghosts looks awful, BF4 looks awful... Where's the x1 going to be in a couple years when it struggles so much today? Really sad honestly. Huge missed opportunity. When the Kinect love wears off I think people might be left scratching their heads.

I haven't had any problems finally getting into 64 player conquest servers on PS4 this evening. I played probably 15 rounds or so and didn't get booted once.

Actually I played for about 5 hours tonight and not a single BF4 error/crash/etc.

Same here. After my last post I fired up the PS4 and played a full round of Conquest without issue.

i really tried to like this game. i can't tell enemies from friendlies. i'm a cod guy. i am going to trade it in today towards cod ghosts, nfs rivals, or mario 3d....not sure which one yet. gamestop is giving me $35.

It's a shame you're giving up so quickly, I haven't touched a CoD game once Bf3 was released and that was after 300+ hours on MW2

If it helps, your teammates will always have their name floating above their head when you point at them, either in blue or green (same squad). Enemies will either show nothing or an orange Dorito if they've been spotted.

Agreed - there is so much substance to BF4, but I can understand the difficulty in transitioning from COD - I went through the same thing. But enemy identification is pretty much the same in both games... or at least I never noticed the differences.

Still, it's definitely a different pace and strategy. Hope SE decides to stick with it

BF4 is a LOT smoother and better looking on PS4 than on x1. It's being upscaled from 900p, so PC will still look a bit better. Still fun on x1 fwiw.

I'm a COD guy to, but I'm finding myself really enjoying this game. It's a really nice change of pace. Like the others mention, those A holes that sit around sniping are annoying and I hate having them on my squad. Useless pieces of crap. After we dominate, I love running around with my buddy in ATV's.. hunting them down and running em over. Sooo much fun. I'm trying to get used to the air units right now. Mad hard to control. I feel bad for those that try to hop on a chopper when I'm pilot. So, I'm gonna be spending lots of time in practice mode for that.

By the way, I play on Xbox one and the game looks and plays fine. This is coming from someone that has bf3 on a decent gaming rig which I barely ever played bf3 on. IMO, the game looks next gen enough for me on xb1. My fav. pc game is D3 and SC2, and I just started playing Path of Exile. Graphics isn't everything.

The more important decision on which console should be based on your friend base, and the exclusives that you're personally interested in. Everything else is pretty much subjective, from the ui to the controller. It's all personal preference.

I own both and Killzone is a game to play on your PS4 to show off the graphics and they're really great. It's not a great shooter in general though. I've only played single player so I can't comment on the multi player yet. Battlefield 4 is purely awesomeness.

I recommend a Holo/RDS coupled with the Magnifier 2x over canted iron sights and a scope.

You lose some range but canted iron sights are a bit slow to ADS and that can be the difference in a firefight.

As for AR's, I personally love the ACE-23.



For some reason, the first carbine unlock, the AK-5C, is probably the best carbine overall. Easy to use and good stats, just slightly slow.

Concur. RDS with a 2x magnifier is preferable over the canted iron sights.

Personally, I'm running the ACE-23 for AR and the ACE-52 CQB for carbines. The ACE-52 CQB has a very nice TTK and packs a punch considering it's not an assault rifle.
