still have kz sealed up, been playing ac4 this week, bf4 is taking a breather

Finished Killzone, AC4 is installed in the PS4 I just need to start playing it. Gonna begin tomorrow, but I suspect I'll be going between Killer Instinct and AC4 since my arcade stick arrives tomorrow as well. Once I finish AC4 I'll begin working on Dead Rising 3. Then once I've done that I have time to dive into the games that will take more time to get into like Forza, NBA 2k14 and Killer Instinct.

Man...I dunno where I will find the time TBH.

Has anyone had any success squading up with a friend and playing in a match on the X1? Last night I became so frustrated I went and played Forza.

This game breaks my heart. It has so much potential, but is so frustrating with the lag and crashing. Had the most frustrating afternoon just playing poorly, and then finally on shanghai roof of C I go on a killstreak with the scar-h 13 deep. Two kinfe kills, three sidearm kills and the rest with the scar. I've almost eliminated the enitre group and the game crashes before I hit the share button. :(

I'm just gonna talk on the phone for the rest of the night.

Yup. I really think the game is great when it works. Only problem is that it doesn't work a lot of the time.

Weird, I haven't experienced a crash on the PS4 in some time now. Xbone crashes on me now and then, but much less than it did in the beginning.

If you're on Xbone just try to be patient. It seems to be about a week behind in terms of patches (which makes sense).

An EA game crashing and being unplayable? No way.

I've hated EA since their treatment of Generals Zero Hour. Could never play a LAN 2v6 without it slowing to a crawl and eventually crashing due to network issues. Even with years later hardware thrown at it.

Was never fixed to my knowledge. Got swept under the rug and abandoned when it didn't sell 10 billion copies a minute. Typical EA.

Westwood Studios. Just one of the parasitic EAs many victims.

EA really is the prototypical "evil corporation." They have a very long storied past of screwing anyone over if it means they can turn a buck. The latest is the Titanfall exclusivity, where they justify it by saying they wanted to be "loyal" to Microsoft. First of all, that's just f'ing insulting. Just say you got paid off and sold out, okay? Second, how about loyalty to your customers? HALF of them are on the platform you just screwed over, not to mention you incinerated whatever good will you managed to rebuild with Respawn Entertainment... the same people who left you a decade ago after you f'ed them the first time around.

I truly, truly hate EA. Just like Microsoft, they achieve their successes through backdoor business deals rather than by producing a quality product. Hey, if you can't beat the competition, make it impossible for them to compete, right?

NFL 2k5 anyone?

Yeah the way they handled the titanfall situation was insulting to the developers for sure. I am pretty sure they would have liked to see ps4 players enjoying their game just as much as xb1. Limiting their audience probably wasn't on their mind.

C&C was a beautiful series of games. It is too bad that the latest incarnation is so God awful it's been cancelled.

i turned on the ps4 last night to see bf4 patching, didn't get a chance to play but anyone know if anything got fixed?

Edit: guess they didn't fix the important things, this means i still won't get to play conquest and there is still a chance to get the corrupted save file error

The November 26 Battlefield 4 PS4 patch should help with the following:

Fixed common crashes that could occur when changing weapons or maps.
Reduced the probability of a corrupted save file in the single player campaign.
Fixed a crash occurring when resuming the single player campaign.
Fixed a bug where accessing PlayStation Plus subscription resulted in a connection error.
Improved performance when shooting at destroyed Levolution objects.

Reduces probability of corruption? What its random? They don't know what their own code is doing?

I'm on PC. Even worse since it came out before everyone else.

That's DICE for you. GREAT game ideas, but absolutely terrible development skills. Where do you think Battlelog came from? They couldn't make a working server browser for BF2 to save their lives, so they took it to HTML + Plugins with BF3. Speaking of BF2, I remember it taking over a year for it to finally stabilize. That was the biggest cluster---- I've experienced gaming.

I'm on PC. Even worse since it came out before everyone else.

It definitely does seem like the PC crowd is getting the royal shaft :(

Yes, anybody that played Battlefield 2 on release knows that's this is far from their buggiest game, that still takes the cake but damn was BF2 awesome.

Refresh my memory. I had it at launch but it was so long ago.

It crashed A LOT and the server browser was all but useless. It was virtually required that you use a privately developed browser if you had any aspirations of selecting specific servers or applying filters. There were countless gameplay bugs as well but I don't remember those specifically.

What has always stood out most about DICE is that they still have difficulty solving very fundamental problems despite their ability to build an in-house engine and cutting edge game on top of it. To be fair, BF4 is probably the most stable release in terms of extraneous issues, but then again, they're no longer relying on an in-game server browser.

Regarding in-game issues, it ranks slightly worse than BF3 but worlds better than BF2.

Holy SHIZ the shotguns are overpowered. I've been getting torn to shreds by them but I withheld judgement until I tried them myself. I have been on a rampage for the last 2 hours. I agree they should be one shot kills to the chest and head at close range, but their range is WAY too far. Now that I've use them it's tough to justify using anything else on anything other than super open maps.

In all honesty though they're damn fun to use!

I really tried liking this game but it is way beyond too buggy for me to even play. At least COD works every time I go to play it

Which platform? I still have a lot of problems on the Xbone but I can't remember the last issue I've had on the PS4. Both platforms are due for patches this week. Tomorrow is PS4 and Xbone end of week.
