For anyone who has a Whataburger nearby, they're giving away free honey butter chicken biscuits until 11AM today as a promotion with some country singer named Lainey Wilson. They're pretty great with the jalapeno cheese biscuits.

I don't eat Wingstop much and I've never paid attention to their ketchup. This is what they give you, it's .95oz. I Googled and the normal packets are .3. I would imagine 1 of these wouldn't cost much more than 5-6 regular ones. These should be standard as opening 6 of those packets and still barely getting any ketchup is an infurating 1stworldproblem. Also these work as a bowl to dip your fries in.

Politics aside, I find CFA waaay overhyped, and waaay underperforming, all at a premium price. Every once in a blue moon I'll get something and feel vaguely ripped off. Combined with their douchiness, it makes them easy to avoid.
I'm going to have to join this bandwagon after how trash the new fries are. Who wants their fries to taste like freaking peas? Ugh that pea flower coating is horrible and has made me quit CFA cold turkey. I tried to give their macaroni a shot as the side and it's just mid ass made for a 9 year-old macaroni, nothing close to the hype for it. Still have some free chicken sandwiches I got from doing surveys last year but now I just grab the CFA sandwich and go to McDonalds for my fries. Once my free sandwich coupons are done I'm going back to Popeyes for my chicken sandwich fix.

Their Mac & Cheese is decent at best, it's better than KFC's that's the best thing I can say about it. And that's not saying much at all. And I think it was like $4 for a tiny ass cup of it.

Popeyes Mac & Cheese is so much better.

Never even tried Popeyes mac & cheese since their red beans and rice and Cajun fries are both so awesome.

IIRC the Dairy Queen near my old house had these.

I've seen them before, but don't remember where. I'd be more interested in seeing malt vinegar and tabasco be as ubiquitous as sugar paste, and that awful yellow mustard.

The only place I see malt vinegar around here is Philly's Best cheesesteak. People who have never tried it are really missing out. That's one of the best things to dip fries in. I know it's common in Philly, but out here nobody knows about it.

Had my first Blakes Lotaburger the other day. Pretty good, maybe better than Culvers as a regional chain. Also went to Whataburger on the trip and... eh? Not as good as I remember them being 20 years ago.

Big words, don't know that I'll ever make it to New Mexico to see if it can live up to that.

Wouldn't be surprised if Whataburger just isn't as good as it used to be either.

Just checked with the GF and we agree. We had Blakes, Whataburger, and Braums on the trip. Blakes > Culvers > Braums > Whataburger. The fries put Blakes into the top spot for her.

-Same with five guys.
Huh, I don't care for it so I hadn't noticed it there. It was fairly prominent at LJS, being at every table.

That's an even more bold claim, Culver's has 100% nailed the fries every time I've gone, at every location.

Breaking news, GF is at Culvers right now and I asked her if the fries are better than Blakes. She said no.

This is the "small" loaded potato from a food truck called Papas El Guero. You can't even see the potato but it's smashed open and somehow as big as the tin. I don't know where and the hell they even get potatoes this big, and they have an even bigger XL one which I need to see with my own eyes. I got it with Carne Asada, Chorizo, Bacon, Cheese, Butter, Chives & Jalapenos. I'm befuddled at the size of this fucker.

It was only $13 and if I had to guess it has probably as much meat as half a dozen burritos from Chipotle. They also have chicken and shrimp and will top it with Esquites, which is corn kernels with mayo, parmesan cheese and chili powder. The inside was drenched in liquid butter. The XL's $22 and if what the person in line told me was true. It's about 30% bigger and has 2lb of meat on it. I know American's are legendary for our gluttony when it comes to food. But Mexican people can definitely hold their own.

This has to be a top 10 big back meal for sure.

I will probably be vilified for sharing this into the public :
But i always add various Lettuce with more flavour like for example a lettuce mix comprised of lollo rosso, lollo blondo, frisée... To my fast food dishes.
Often i make it at home. Friday noon is usually fast food moment.

Different kinds of lettuce :

In the Netherlands we have the "kroket".
For me : A bread roll with lettuce, kroket and "Zaanse" mustard. O yes .

But also a bread roll with a frikandel , add some fine sliced onions, Yogurt based mayo and Heinz ketchup. And some various lettuce added. Sometimes a slice of tomato too.

The chicken fries at Burger King are about what you would expect.

There used to be a barbecue joint in Nebraska that would do stuffed baked potatoes (pulled pork or brisket), they also had gargantuan potatoes that made me wonder where they came from. Love a baked potato stuff with some tasty meat.

They're terrible, they don't taste bad, but they don't taste like anything. Not even dipping sauce helps them. And yet somehow they're a permanent item on the menu. Meanwhile, they got rid of the Cha-King which was by far the best thing they've ever had, it was legit delicious. And what did they replace that with? An absolutely garbage chicken sandwich. Which 3 years later's still on the menu lol. It's no wonder bankruptcy rumors swirl about them every 4-5 years.

I thought every restaurant in Nebraska was a Runza by law.
