evidently there's a new breed of chicken tender specialists coming around?

I need to try this Cane's ASAP

raising-canes-chicken-fingers.jpg

Don't ask for a specific sauce they only have "Cane Sauce". It's some abomination of ketchup and ranch.

Hey y'all, what are your favorite sides @ Popeye's besides red beans and rice? I pretty much get cajun fries + RBR 99% of the time, not sure if I'm missing out.

My kinda post, usually cajun rice and mac and cheese. Although lately I've been addicted to their mashed potatoes and gravy.

Dunkin Donuts: Belgian Waffle Breakfast Sandwich

http://www.dunkindonuts.com/dunkindonuts/en/menu/food/sandwiches/breakfastsandwiches/waffle.html

1471586311305.jpg

This is basically a pair of Eggo-sized Belgian (i.e. soft) waffles with egg, cheese, and bacon. The waffles have a light maple-syrup flavor. It's basically like a McGriddle with waffle buns, but not as strong on the mapleyness. It was pretty decent, although bacon was a bad choice for this sandwich because it gets completely drowned out by the egg & waffles (the cheese is also pretty bland). They should have done a round of Canadian bacon - something a little bit more salty & meaty, but still soft enough to easily bite through.

Would I buy it again? Meh. It's not bad enough to avoid, but it's not good enough to go out of my way to get. If it had a strong (better) tasting cheese & a slab of ham or Canadian bacon, it'd be pretty dang good. It would be worth investing one of those plug-in quad mini-round waffle iron presses to make your own if you like the sandwich style; a soft waffle makes a surprisingly good bun. But there are also bagels, kaiser rolls, biscuits, and other things to use that are more common for homemade breakfast sandwiches & don't require much if any effort to make.

What do I want for breakfast? I'm usually not up this early, but I'm heading out the door in a little bit. Other than the occasional burger, a breakfast sandwich or burrito is the only fast food I do.

Crunchy Cheesy Core Burrito: (chicken)

ewrewer435sdf43.jpg

The commercial made it look pretty appealing, like a savory version of Ben & Jerries "core" ice cream. It's just another burrito. Only 50% of the length of mine even had cheese, and the part with cheese was more like they had used a sandwich spreader to layer it on. No nice round core. I thought maybe it would be kinda like sushi-wrapped or maybe wrapped in a small crunchy taquito or something, because the idea of having a cheesy core is awesome. It's not bad for a Taco Bell burrito, but it's just another burrito. Meh. Actually, it makes me miss those awesome Circle-K & 7-11 burrito's from the 90's.

Worse than that is rice on a breakfast burrito. At least throw some tater tots on it and pretend they're potatoes.

They're coming to LA? My cousin will be happy. Been here in Houston for about 15 years now.

And it's not ranch. It's ketchup, mayo, garlic powder, pepper, and Worcestershire.

Just finished our first FiveGuys experience. Ugh. I expected so much more. $28 for 2 burgers 1 fry and 3 drinks. The meat was good not great, the fries were HORRIBLE. On top of that the encourage people to eat peanuts and throw the shells on the floor?

The value just wasn't there for the food we got. I wouldn't eat here again.

Not a fan of popeyes. IMHO, they put too much spice on their chicken and its hot. I like culvers ok. My favorite places to eat fast food are goodcents and schlotzsky's. I like cold sammiches better than burgers and fries. I also like the gyros at arbys.
What? Spicy fried chicken is a gift from the gods. How does someone not like spicy fried chicken? Plain fried chicken is too bland.

I always wondered who was ordering the mild stuff there :p

They need a level beyond spicy, but I understand why they don't have one.

Anyone ever go to Mike's Sandwich Shop? F'n love this place, been going since 2001.

Been 3 years since I've been able to go, but was in the area today. Couldn't decide between a Mike's special or a hockey burger. So I ate both and a fries, was so stuffed.

Da fuq. Just read some of the reviews and sad to see it has apparently been sold and will be closing to be turned in to a 7-11. Well guess that was my final hockey burger :(.

God Burger King blows. Ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and the burger was so small and dry I just threw it away after two bites.

When your name is Burger King and you can't even make a decent burger then it's time to close up shop.
