Eastern WA. Western WA is not so bad but Eastern WA is pretty much ID, I agree.

Yeah I noticed the mailing address...it's maybe a mile from where I use to live in Vancouver. Seems pretty far removed from the location of the church itself (in Spokane), it made me curious as to why the different cities.

Wrong one. There's apparently one just outside of Vancouver. This wonderful human being is in Spokane Valley. He's probably about 20min away.

Trans teen denied clothes of her choice under graduation gown.

According to court documents, the school policy states that “a high school graduation ceremony is a sacred and inspirational ritual which is intended to be surrounded with decorum of dignity, grace, solemnity, reverence, pomp and circumstance.”

“Students whose attire does not meet the minimum dress requirements may not be allowed to participate in the graduation exercises,” the policy states.
Her selection of attire, under a gown no less, would obviously violate this because... because...

Amazing. Republican State Senator votes for an anti-trans bill that passes by one, now says she wasn't "paying attention"

Is she lying or just incompetent? Can only be one of those two. If lying, is it part of a strategy to just vote for these bills and just claim ignorant later just to have it both ways? I'm not sure which one it is.

I see Spokane continues on it's downward spiral. It was always a quirky town, but had a since of civilization once.

“So is it a big widespread thing?” she asked the writer, adding that regular Nebraska residents were unaware of the issue.
"Regular" Nebraska residents are kinda stupid, and tend towards just a little racist and queerphobic. She is, at least, truly representing her people, if not doing her job and actually paying attention to what legislation she's voting on (or lying about it, also fairly plausible)

Catching up with the “Guns, Babies, Jesus” woman.

Kandiss Taylor, a Georgia GOP district chair who ran for governor in 2022 is a flat earther.

Taylor : - "Everywhere there's globes, and thats what they do to brainwash"

lol!

On the earth being round: - "If it’s not a conspiracy, if it is true, why are they pushing it so hard?"

Best line : - If I was a normal person.

Obviously these children were marked by the school board for humiliation and to deprive them of self-esteem and dignity on a special day for ALL kids. Par for the course

I dated a girl briefly who was from Spokane but moved to NYC a few years back. She was super progressive but told me it's a regressive shit show back home, and where her folks live. I guess it gets scary when you get too far out of Seattle out there.

Conservative terrorists doing their thing, Target has Pride merch again this year, but since the Outrage Machine is cranked up to 11, it's a cause to threaten violence.

Oh yeah, fuckbag Matt Walsh is "excited" for Pride month this year too, no doubt he'll be engaging in extra-special stochastic terrorism to mark the occasion.

I was contemplating on the stupidity of several of the recent anti-LGBTQ laws and ran across the phrase "immutable." Unchanging. Of course, this is in reference to sex assigned at birth, which being a physician, is an absolutely ludicrous statement. All I have to say is 5-alpha reductase deficiency, also called guevedoces, and I just blew the immutable out of the water. Not uncommon in the Dominican Republic, 5-AR leads to a child being assigned female at birth and when puberty rolls around, literally transitions to male anatomy with no outside influences. Hence the name "guevedoces," or testes at twelve. Most of these kids grow up preferring to be male.

Most people would probably recognize the t-shirts with an arrow pointing up and the phrase "hey! I'm up here!" Some are probably a little titillated just thinking about it. Interesting enough, brain and sexual anatomy develop independently from each other. We typically don't see it from day to day because of the congruence most people have with their sex and gender identity. Interesting fact, 50% of the world population are chimeras where one part of their body may have or express different genes than the other. One of the X chromosomes in females literally turns off creating what is called a Barr body on imaging. The process of inactivation is random, happens early in gestation and is caused by lyonization. We see the effect of this with X-linked recessive disorders, hemophilia being the easiest to understand. Hemophilia, a bleeding disorder, leads to poor factor/clotting protein production in the liver. If the affected X-chromosome is active in the liver in a female, they can be called "symptomatic carriers." As body and brain development are incredibly complex, it is not unusual for genetic mechanisms to go awry either from inborn errors or outside influences. Back in the day, when thalidomide was used as an anti-emetic for women during pregnancy, it led to significant birth defects. It didn't just affect the body, but also brain development. The led to many children born with thalidomide exposure to develop gender dysphoria. A strong reminder that the environment we live in and the exposures we create can and does affect our children. (xeno-estrogens)

There are countless examples of sex and gender being disrupted through genetic means. I've used CAIS or PAIS as other perfect examples. Swyer syndrome is another. I have Kallmann syndrome or congenital hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. During development, people with Kallmann syndrome have failure of the transport of the appropriate cells to the pituitary gland and olfactory nerves. Some can smell. Others cannot. There are about 25 different genes associated with this transport. Mine is FGFR1. FGFR1 is also associated with bone malformations, among other things. I've had 8 hip surgeries to date.

What we have discovered over the past 25 years, is the incredibly complex nature of our sexual development. It IS NOT just XX or XY. To be honest, you can just take both of those away. It really is just the SRY and SOX9 gene. BTW, both men and women have the SOX9 gene.

It drives me bonkers when people say, "it's basic biology!" No, no it's not. There is absolutely nothing basic about our sexual development and starting out life with an egg and sperm. Absolutely nothing basic.

(this is the easier diagram, BTW)
(FGFR1 is in the "other genes" category)

Have I missed something????

Drag Show Artists Fear Crackdown As Texas Passes Sexual Conduct Bill

The Texas bill on sexual content in performances was initially meant to bar children from attending drag shows.
And it includes a definition of sexual conduct that bars wearing accessories or prosthetics that enhance the female or male form in front of a minor or on public property.
Supporters of the bill say it’s needed to protect children from seeing sexually explicit content.
Republican Gov. Abbott, who is expected to sign it into law.

I dont know if I missed something, but I went through all of grade-school and all of junior-high school and graduated high-school and I never once had a drag show in class nor any teacher give a speech on homosexuality or try to convert the class over to homosexually. And never did a teacher dress in drag or bump & grind another teacher or student in the classroom.

So..... what's the deal now? Is this happening in grade-schools across America that we suddenly need "LAWS" ???
Either this made-up national emergency is all total BS by republican legislators, or.... I went to the wrong grade-school.

I’m thinking this would ban dance belts in ballet.
Clearly, the morons in power thought this completely through. I mean, we wouldn't want someone coming along claiming they didn't read the bill before voting on it! But hey, think of the children!

Looks like this has now spread to Kohl's for carrying Pride items for sale.

Fuck these conservaterrorist bigots.

I saw this reply on the twitter account for this article.
