Yeah unfortunately it takes a long time before each guy will give you his specific quest. I think I did at least 4-5 stupid quests for each before I got what I was after. Keep in mind that lycanthropy makes you 100% resistant to disease and allows you to sprint endlessly while transformed (no stamina loss), both of which are actually pretty useful, in case you end up being uncurable and have to make the best of it on this play through? To be honest, my biggest gripe is that I have to re-equip everything after it wears off.
I can't wait for an equipment manager to come out after they release the CK! One click for combat outfit, one click for smithing, alchmey, bartering, whatever. It pains me to admit that WoW built this in as a default feature long before Bethesda figured it out...we don't even get a paper doll!
Any tips on raising enchanting reall fast?
Btw, excited to join the ranks of PC gamers again!

There are lots of guides online if you google, but basically, my method was to put soul trap (1 sec) on my bow, grab (buy, steal, or loot) lots of soul shards (petty works just as well as grand for lvling enchanting in my experience, even though the gear you make will be less valuable), fill em up by sniping creatures around Whiterun (everything from Rabbits to bears and trolls), then enchant everything I looted/crafted before I sold it to vendors. You can level smithing at the same time if you make lots of leather goods or daggers, and then enchant them all before selling them to the vendors.
Note: I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you're already relatively high level, since you'll level up too fast, and your main combat skills will be gimped by comparison.
This new mod is super useful if you want to reset some of your perks without spending an hour in the console. Also helps plan out where you're headed and how many levels you'll need to get there.

NOW you tell me...
I am about maxed out smithing and have upped enchanting and alchemy significantly, but my combat skills are still level 40-60 (my character is 35-ish). I am seriously starting to have a lot of trouble with blood dragons and those undead scourge/whatevers. The latter come in groups of 3 to 4 now, and I've resorted to leading them into traps to kill a few off or soften them up. Meanwhile, my follower got lost a few tunnels back.
Skyrim seriously needs to fix the follower pathfinding, movement and catch-up routine. He/she rarely, if ever, went missing in Fallout Vegas because they kept respawning beside you if they fell too far behind - great functional cheat.
Enchanting is easy-peasy to level. Just go smith 20 iron daggers from buying ingots and making leather strips at the smithy, then run to your nearest enchanter and put something useless on them. You accumulate quite a few soul gems if you clear out some dungeons. Oh, and enchant your main weapon with a 1-3 second soul trap.
thanks for that but maybe you can put it in the OP as well so it's easier to findOr you could have used the one I linked? :sneaky:
Think I found the fix for my random CTDs,I put my Ultra settings of 8xAA down to 4xAA and so far no crashes, played 2.5 hours lastnight with 0 crashes and 90 mins today and again no crashes.
The sound solution one for fixing random crashes did not work which I tried first.
Anyway happy gamer now,I wonder if its a Nvidia driver issue or Skyrim game issue ,anyway I'm hoping 4xAA setting holds out for zero crashes.
Here's something really interesting - Jesse from Finland has uncovered that the entire Tamriel Landmass has been built into Skyrim.

Wonder if this could mean future DLC will open up those areas - like Morrowind?
