I control the fan with Ntune right now and OC with Atitool since it has more speed options. Hopefully Rivatuner will support the cards soon and I can do both with it. Unless the Ntune gets released soon. It is supposed to allow OC'ing on the shader processors in a future release.

Hi guys....

Back to Nvidia with an 8800GTX and I'm trying to overclock this thing a bit.

I got an XFX card and using the ATI Tool beta .16 I can set the Core to 630 or 635 MAX but I am confused about the Memory Speeds since I can only set it to about 480, yet some of you guys keep on mentioning 2000 or something like that.


How the hell do I do this?

i haven't seen a discussion on the ability to 'unlock' the disabled shaders on a gts... did i miss somewhere where someone proved they were hard disabled? or is unwinder or someone going to rain blessings on us gts'ers at some point?

After reading these posts, I easily set my BFG 8800GTS to 650/2000 garnering a score of 8838 in 3DMark06 (with a X2 4600+ @ 2.568 GHz). I'm not sure what the absolute limit of my overclock could be - especially since I don't want to damage my new card.

Well my 8800 GTS is currently at 630/2000 perfectly stable.
It ran 3dMark06 for a score of 10,444.

That's with older 97.02 drivers.
I'm sure with newer ones I'd score even higher.

I haven't oced my GTX since frankly I haven't felt the need to - damn thing runs like a raped ape through everything @ 19*12... Are NTune or ATiTool still the progs of choice for doing so?

I kinda miss ATi Tray Tools.

guys, what utility are you are using?

NVtuner freezes the computer for me and ATitool takes the core speed so high that i just eventually bluescreens.

I was able to get "decent" overclocks: 600 core and 2060MHz RAM on the FOXCONN 8800 GTS.

i have a similar setup and got like 10208 on my frist oc with the 320mb 8800gts at 620/930

i can probably go higher but havent gotten around to it. ill find my limit and then run it a bit slower to take it easier on my gear
