leading up to the election, i can't tell you how many ads i saw on youtube from various democrats (including abrams) to donate. it was annoying.

but after seeing what she accomplished - i will absolutely be sending some $$ to GA for the runoff.

One guaranteed avenue of attack is that Democrats will be funded by out of state interests. I don't think your personal contribution will affect that, so please still donate.

Madison Cawthorn thinks Congress voted on the Emancipation Proclamation.

He also talks about converting Jews to Christianity, because you aren’t a real Christian if you don’t convert others.

Jeez... North Carolina ... This idiot is the best you could do?

And some dipshit on here tried to act like that guy was being unfairly maligned when I was calling him a piece of shit.

As done as I am with right wingers' bullshit, I'm already as done with non right wing idiots trying to play stupid constantly.

It will be interesting. It appears to be an uphill battle. I imagine Republicans feel that parroting Trump's rigged election BS is the pathway to energize their base for the special election. Both Loeffler and Perdue have come out asking Raffensperger to resign with basically no basis whatsoever. Aiming to win these runoffs may be why so many Republicans have stepped up to bat for Trump here or at least remained silent, but how long can they keep the nonsense going? The cost is awful, but once you've already sold out to the belief that the alternative is anathema, there really isn't any grounds to stand on moral principle left.

At this point they pretty much can't stop because then they're fucked. The moment they admit they're full of shit, they lose the money train morons keeping them in power so that rich people can pay them off.

Check out the bills David Perdue has recently proposed:
11-12 "A bill to establish a Bipartisan Advisory Committee to analyze the integrity and the administration of the 2020 general election for Federal office." Because he, Trump and Loeffler didn't win. Boohoo
11-09 "A bill to create a point of order against legislation modifying the number of Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States." Because the Republicans stole another seat and are damn sure going to try to make sure they hold on to a majority for a long, long time.
9-24 "Securing Our Elections Act of 2020" I don't even know what this is about. Probably just another effort to keep a lot of certain people from being able to cast a ballot in the election.
Well I live in Georgia and to be sure I will be voting against Perdue and Loeffler in the runoff.

Rudy is going to personally ague in court for the first time in decades and Kamala Harris has shown up in DC to block the Shelton nomination for the Fed Board.

Nearing critical levels of amusement.

Yet, we are elitist liberal snobs if we call them ignorant deplorables. He does not know our history, or how government works.

Given Giuliani's distinct lack of skill, I wouldn't be surprised if he not only loses his case, but gets the Trump camp into even deeper trouble.

It did not...go well from what I've read.

From the sound of it, it's much like you'd expect from Giuliani: lots of unsupported claims and basic ignorance of how the system works. One person described it like a "C student" in court, no real preparation and lots of holes.

PA Supreme Court also just ruled 5-2 against the Trump campaign about access to the counting. It reality it was 7-0 as even the dissenters said there was no way they would rule to toss votes. There’s still the federal case Giuliani is arguing right now.

Just filing cases (throwing shit) and see if they can get one to the SCOTUS (seeing if it sticks). Are their no legal canons which discourage the wasting of the courts time?

More and more I'm starting to believe that they aren't really even trying to get to the SCOTUS; I mean, look at the flimsy cases they keep bringing. Like others have said, I think this is all a show for his followers so they'll keep throwing money his direction. That's why he had to get back on Twitter a couple of days ago to double down on saying he won the election after accidentally indicating Biden had won. It really is all for the grift IMHO.

I wonder whether he'll stop when the states certify the results, or if he'll keep it going until Biden's inauguration?

i was watching tv news and someone brought up that they were dropping the recount in WI (i think) because it would cost $10M which trump's campaign would have to pay since they are the ones requesting it. so any other state where it isnt an automatic recount would probably be the same.

assuming there are non delusional people on the trump team, they arent going to spend 100M for the same losing result in multiple states.

so the non concession is strictly about milking donors for money for campaign debts and salaries. going the law suit route means they dont actually have to spend the money on paying state elections employees to recount and instead the money goes to campaign lawyers.

Yup, the knuckle-draggers get pummeled with up to 20 emails a day with donnie almost demanding $$, I was at a Brightbart page a day or so ago and they had a banner ad running, (from trump) that said "buy all the trump 2020 flags/hats/t-shirts NOW to stop the Dems from buying them all up!". Yea, just what every Dem want's, a trump 2020
flag, the pilfering strategy is just stunning.

The president's lawyer very deeply confused in PA court.

Top DHS cybersecurity official fired for successfully protecting the election and telling people so, contradicting the President.

Wayne County MI canvas board refuses to certify rooted on by Trump campaign lawyer who openly wants the state to appoint Trump electors.

.....I think perhaps the long lag between the election and the inauguration is a mistake.

Unfortunately, it's a lot more than that. It's a scurrilous & shameful attack on the integrity of the elections & the Constitution itself. It's an assault on the integrity of thousands of election workers across the country. Rudy's claims of nationwide fraud are absurd, an attempt to sell the Big Lie. If it can be sold to the People, Trump might find a way to stay in power.

73M Americans just voted for the perpetrator.

So the COVID-10 accomplice killer has fired Chris Krebs. He was the head of the DHS cyber security.
This was almost to be expected when he said (last week?) he didn't care if he got fired for telling the truth.
Trump ousts Homeland Security cyber chief Chris Krebs, who called election secure

The orange menace has tweeted that Krebs statement isn't true. He claiming there was all sorts of fraud.

Another one fired by twitter. Effing loser.

The former director acknowledged Trump's action in a brief tweet Tuesday: "Honored to serve. We did it right. Defend Today, Secure Tomrorow."

So Trump's lies have now managed to convince 2 Michigan GOP Election officials for Wayne County (which includes Detroit) to not certify the results for Detroit, blocking certification of about 850,000 votes in Michigan, and will prevent Wayne County from meeting statutory deadline for state certification throwing results into uncertainty.

With still precisely 0 demonstrated instances of fraud or misconduct in the Michigan election.

Efforts to steal the election are still in full swing by team Trump. Not to necessarily overturn numerical vote results in any state which they clearly can't achieve, but to throw doubt and delay long enough to push past mandatory deadlines for voters to have selected electors, and then throw it chaotically to legislatures or the courts instead to try to bypass the voters.

The state will certify for them if Wayne does not.

Still, this is more evidence that Republicans are willing to engage in a coup if they think they can get away with it.
