Trump would be president of what, exactly, if this pans out? Do you think that the states in the west, NE or even midwest would stay in the union if such a thing happened? All this talk of technicalities is IMO just dumb.
When I was in high school there was a student in our class who had a mischievous bent and conjured a plan to take over the student government using a series of maneuvers he gleaned from Roberts Rules of Order. He was sure it would work. Never got off the ground.

Then you have a civil war. You will stay in this union and like getting fucked as per Scalia!
Just pipe dreaming. The SCOTUS has no appetite for playing the villain. They need to sleep at night too.

Me or him? I'm anti trump as they come and only posted for context. Also trying to not go down conspiracy rabbit holes too soon. Almost went there after watching the Van Jones Ted talk this weekend. I sincerely hope our leaders (not Trump) are smart enough not to go down these dark paths. It would result in protests on a level that have never been seen in the US.
The violence would never stop during a 2nd Trump term. It would be guerilla warfare that could bring America to its knees.

I would cite precedence.

Quick somebody send Jim Jones Catering to the WH to feed some hungry mouths! :p
I don't know who's catering their parties but 2 more covid cases reported in the WH today, IIRC. They just keep piling up. I'd be real nervous to go near the place. I said before, the Democrats should fumigate the WH before moving in. I was thinking of the roaches, rats and general stench but it's turning out that the covid beasties are another great reason. Give the place 5 days under a tent with poison gas, another couple days to air out, then a spray with some nice lavender scent.

The Trump election fraud claims are an absolute joke.
In this one, his lawyers attempt to accuse students, soldiers and their families who are studying or stationed out of state of fraudulently voting in the NV election.
But students, soldiers and their families have ALWAYS been allowed to maintain their residency in their home states when stationed or going to school elsewhere.

Every case has been an utter embarrassing fail.

Needs some serious bleaching to remove the filth. Some stains will never come out.

Maybe rebuild the whole place. My idea is to keep the current White House while a replacement is built nearby, in a former Walmart + parking lot. Eminent Domain the Walmart. The current WH was built by slaves. Build new one with happy labor, decently paid. Let's bulldoze the old smelly one, which has been hopelessly besmirched. Go Biden/Harris!

So GA is going to count 5 millions votes by hand and get it done by the 20th? ok.
It's doable if 1) they only look at the presidential and senate votes and ignore the rest of the ballot and 2) the party observers and party lawyers don't frivolously slow the recount. So, not a chance.

Part of the Trump effort to overturn the election of Biden involves a list of supposedly “fraudulent” votes by legal Nevada residents. And it turns out that the list is made up to a great extent of US military members who legally vote in Nevada (by absentee ballot) while stationed elsewhere:

Hey! who told those suckers and losers they could vote?

I thought you'd end the story with something like, "and today, that man is chairman of the board at General Electric".

I asked this earlier...what happens if a state misses the certifying date? No candidate gets the EC votes, but is the 270 threshold adjusted accordingly?

Georgia can delay certification even if they miss the 20th of November. Their law states "Notwithstanding the deadlines specified in this Code section, such times may be altered for just cause by an order of a judge of superior court of this state". The real (federal) deadline is December 8th anyway - and Biden doesn't even need Georgia or PA for 270 electors (although only just).

Actually, he was probably a colossal failure. Don't know what happened to him after high school but his personality had disaster coming warning lights flashing constantly.

Assuming Biden wins AZ & NV, for real, you'd be absolutely correct, 270 exactly. Biden has PA in the bag, anyway, and very likely GA as well. Recount? Hand audit? Have at it. Neither race is really close enough to change the result.
