Am I the only one still sorta worried about all these court challenges, as frivolous as they may seem? I just worry about it finding its way to the SCOTUS, and some of the previous comments made by justices like Kavanaugh make it seem like they would be all too happy to meddle in state election laws.

Hopefully the EC margin is large enough that one state wouldn't make a difference.

The court would rule what? PA's vote counts don't include the late votes, and the difference will probably be 50k+ votes. It'll probably end up over the recount threshold. The Georgia recount is overrated anyway, historically recounts have changed very little - and Biden looks pretty safe with a 7k vote lead. In Nevada the Trump team is trying to cancel 3k military and student votes, where the difference is at least 25k. AZ might end up close, but it won't change anything anyway.

It's clear that Trump's team is filing suits first, and looking for cause later.

Again, he's in the elite class. We've seen this time and time before. Why do you for some odd reason think this case will be any different?

He's made a lot of enemies and himself into a huge target. Any ambitious state AG where he might have crossed a line is going to be gunning for his ass. NY is at the head of that line.

Also his bank, the last one that will deal with him, wants to be rid of him forever. Doubt that mean's they're gonna roll those loans. Then there is the 100M IRS issue.

NY hates him. The elite class actually hates him (they never invited him to all their reindeer games throughout his lifelong attempts to "be included).

All it takes for the "elite" to get away, as you know, is for them to just not be prosecuted, or for the DA to simply seek very lenient punishment. This does not seem to be the case with both teh NY AG and DA's offices, both of which have been establishing very strong, very deep cases against Trump.

You know that they have been doing this, right, or are you going to claim you aren't informed about that? That being known, do you think NY AG and DA are going to back down from the cases they have been working on for at least 3 years now?

I must admit: I love the mental image of Trump finding out about all these election race calls while he's golfing. I picture him throwing clubs and otherwise throwing a temper tantrum like the overgrown child he is.
Well, I can't see him putting his next drive in the fairway. 😛

“The text of the Constitution requires federal courts to ensure that state courts do not rewrite state election laws,” Kavanaugh wrote. He was one of three current justices, including Roberts and Barrett, who worked as lawyers for Republican George W. Bush in the 2000 election fight.

Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Michigan all have Republican-controlled legislatures and Democratic governors, creating the possibility those states could send dueling slates of electors to the Electoral College in the event of a disputed election."

I mean something like this would be devastating to our democracy, hopefully it's just fan fiction. But you could see this "strategy" coming even several weeks ago...claim "fraud," shotgun approach to lawsuits, raise enough doubt in their friendly SCOTUS, etc.

Meantime the streets of Washington D.C. are filled with revelers. 😀
I was prepared to celebrate last night, made a pizza that somehow didn't satisfy. I had pulled a German style ale out of the fridge but just didn't feel like uncapping it and it went back in the fridge. Tonight! And another, better pizza, that brew.

If they WANT fighting in the streets at this point this would be a good way to make sure it happens. I doubt even the GOP is that stupid but hey you never know.

I'm not the violent type but even I would have to consider it.

I don't think the SCOTUS is gonna do shit to reverse this POTUS election. If they do, the devastation will be obvious on every level and the country will be thrown into chaos. They know that as well as you and I.

I think this fails to account for what conservative jurists actually want from their seats ideologically. Risking those seats on Trump's behalf gets them nowhere or possibly much worse than nowhere.

Oh I agree... it's a frightening thought. I agree it's almost impossible, but the fact that it's even a remote possibility is chilling.

Had these babies on ice since it became apparent PA would push biden into the white house. Nice to crack one open for breakfast
