FYI--North Carolina is still very much in play for Biden. I'm not exactly sure why this is, but NC stopped actual canvassing of ballots on election night and hasn't updated any totals since Wednesday morning. Based on the NC State Board of Elections PR, they may not update the vote tally until November 12-13 (!!!) which is the deadline for accepting/curing absentee ballots that SCOTUS has upheld (i.e. additional ballots could still be incoming from USPS or from people curing their ballots--these are only being audited/held but not officially counted until 11/12.)

Now let's do the math. There are currently 116,200 mail in absentee ballots outstanding. Of these, 88K are from registered Democrats or Unaffiliated. There are an additional ~40k provisional ballots outstanding. Now, not all of these will ultimately be accepted as valid. Some may be duplicates (i.e. people freaking out about whether their mailed ballot was accepted on time who ultimately voted in person on election day.) But Trump only leads by 76K votes.

I think Dems will be very very motivated if they can get a senate for Biden to work with.

On the flip side, I don't see the GOP being as motivated if trump is already out. I mean, do you really think average rural Joe will really be thinking about the US senate in January? This election seems very clear to me: trump over performed and many of the down ballots got carried.

The money spent on this race will be ridiculous. I think I'm already thinking of giving 500 bucks or a thousand bucks if it means a legitimate chance at unfucking the country finally
The chances of (D) flipping both seats to get to 50 will be very small. I'd find a better use of your $500 than to flush it down the toilet on TV ads. 😛

Here's a highly entertaining thread on the smack-down Team Trump got in their injunctive relief hearing in Michigan:

Didn't watch much, but she was quite cautious in her speech. But yeah it was about the most ridiculous attempt at an election lawsuit imaginable. The only thing I can think of would be trying to use ammunition to fuel his base that the election has been stolen and the courts are corrupt. Rudy being involved in pursuing these just affirms that. To what end? Only a very ugly one if it goes anywhere.

They have to approach him wearing one of these, when they bring him the latest results.

Dude, that's the gear they wear when they come to collect his nightly stool samples (you know, Trump is one of those that when he travels, he apparently refuses to use public restrooms because he is afraid "they" collect his tissue. ...and by public, this means hotel rooms. Like Fat One 3 in DPRNK, dude collects his own poop)

The real crazy part of all this is that the vote is this close at all. It is like half of America has lost their fucking minds.
Come on people you were given a choice between a boring old man and a dumpster fire, and half of you choose the dumpster fire.
WTF.
What this tells me is that no matter who wins America loses. It is already too late for us.
It's a damn good thing people get old and die. Without that all we'd have (well, mostly) is boring old people. It's a cliche, but the young are our hope. Some of them are watching this and saying, hey, when I'm old enough to vote I won't ignore the facts and the writing on the wall. I will honor the spirit and letter of democracy. "Hope springs eternal..."

I feel this on many levels!

Burger binge time?
They sent a truck (semi?) full of broccoli to senior Bush when he declared there would be no broccoli on Airforce One. Maybe someone will send a truck full of burgers and fries to old man Trump when he's officially a loser one term president after having declared that an impossibility.

IMHO, having McSally on the ballot will likely cost Trump Arizona. Enthusiasm for her among Republicans is about zero and enthusiasm for kicking her out of the Senate is very high among Dems. McSally's opponent Mark Kelly pulled more votes than Biden or Trump in Arizona and Biden rode his coattails.

BTW, the last time Arizona had two Democratic senators was 1953.

PA coming in hot tonight, and that will be enough for all major networks and agencies to make the call.
