Who knows. They're just a bunch of posers who haven't even seen the show. I started watching it before it became "uncool" to do so and thought it was pretty good. It wasn't until it got a HUGE teen following that they started to gear it more towards teens. It was originally about a troubled kid who is rescued and given a second chance. Anyway I am sad to see it go. This season has been really good too. The characters have grown up so I suppose it's a good time to end it.

What? I think this season is better than last season but nowhere near as good as Season 1.

It's kinda sad the show is going away, but I guess it's time anyways.

I think the timeslot it's in killed its ratings too. Isnt it on at the same time as Greys Anatomy and CSI?

Definitely. Especially since last season of Grey's Anatomy which crazy drama.

Fox was screwed to begin with. Season 1 and 2 fought against CSI and it could never win. Sure it was a hot show back then. Then Grey's Anatomy scored huge on Sunday nights. With Desperate Housewives locked in, there was no reason to put 2 huge shows on Sunday nights, and so ABC went heads up against CSI. The OC is obviously going to get slaughtered, and it did. Good game.

THANK GOD... I hope people can finally agree that it is fake.

It's fake. I think any Californian, especially someone from SoCal knows its fake from the first second of Episode 1. Sadly enough there are people in the US who think The OC is how CA is. I have friends from out of state who thought that way. Nevertheless, it's funny isn't it? I mean it's ridiculously funny how they screw up with stereotypes and us Californians are like wtf? Anyways, you have to admit the show is funny at times. I mean it's not the best plot that will attract most men, but Season 1 had its style. It wasn't one of those warm and fuzzy shows lke Grey's Anatomy, but it had a cheesiness to it that made the show click.

For all of you haters out there, you just never watched it. Or if you did, you just forced yourself into a mental state to hate the show. You can't ever watch a new show if you think like that.

Agreed. It's a sad night for me. Grey's Anatomy is at a climax essentially with the 3-episode-mini-drama, and then this is it for The OC. Too bad I can only pick 1 to record with my tuner. That said I have YET to watch The OC in high def.....

The OC is much better in HD. It's actually filmed in widescreen and they cut off the sides to make it full screen for basic cable.

That's too bad. It's been one of my guilty pleasures. I actually started watching it when a whole bunch of my friends got together with the Season 1 DVD. The show has been downhill ever since, so I guess it's time for the show to end.

p.s. last night's episode sucked hardcore. the finale better be good...

I hate it because once it started, everyone started referring to where I was from as THE OC and asking me about it and how if its really like that in orange county.

I'm watching last week's episode that I recorded, and the review in the beginning made me think about the earthquake. People think CA = earthquakes = omfgbbq ur screwed. I lived through the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake and while that was a short 20-second jolt, my furniture did not go flying around. Stuff fell out of the cupboard in the kitchen, but no way were my walls falling down. What was shown in The OC was terrible. It's like a 7.5+ earthquake shaking forever. Even the 1994 Northridge earthquake wasn't that intense. Sure it shook for longer which does more damage to structures, but the intensity was definitely not that high. Finally, this is THE OC. This is NOT NorCal. If you want to show earthquake land, at least show the area where there are major fault lines running through (I live less than a mile away from the Hayward Fault, and I have class at the corner of the campus where the Hayward Fault runs right through). I get annoyed with the stereotype sometimes because they're so incorrect, ybt the show is still interesting to watch. I remember when they showed the Berkeley episode. Those students they stereotyped were so BS. They made Cal seem like some poor man's school with a bunch of people coming from impoverished families and working their butt offs. Truth is Cal is just an Asian-filled school that's overly liberal and at the same time extremely nerdy. Somehow all the BS with their Brown stereotype should be taking place at Cal. Camping out to save trees? Come on. That's happening at our stadium right now and has been going on for months, and they decide to make that a Brown thing in The OC? Foolish. We have more anti-Bush and random protests here than any other school, and instead the show decides to ignore all that...

Edit: No fatalities? Hah. Once agian this far worse than the 1989 earthquake and people died in that quake...

it's about damn time! even if you consider the first season or 2 entertaining, it has gone down hill! and if you thought it was trash even from the get go then damn i hope yo have not seen an ep this season or last. everyone has done drugs, has killed someone, slept with everyone, it is just horrible the writers don't even try anymore just pick out generic ideas out of a hat

So the last new episode was aired today? How did it end? Did it tie everything up?

I only watched this for probably 20 minutes in my whole life, and only to see that one hot chick. Not that I hated it, I just never really got to sit down and watch it.

Did you know that Adam Brody's gay? My old roommate screwed him back in highschool (before he changed his name) and got a booty call from him when he visited nyc last year.

So your old roommate's claim to fame is he had buttsechs with a famous actor. Nice.

that's not his claim to fame. he just mentioned it when i was going ga ga over that hot o.c. chick that adam brody is "dating" in real life. he then said that it's a sham and that mr. brody was very gay and that they hooked up when they were 15 - he lost his virginity to him!

WTF. Gay guys in Berkeley? IS this supposed to be a stereotype? I understand homosexuality occurs anywhere in this world, but if they're trying to make this a Berkeley stereotype, I really hate the writers. I already hated their fake Cal stereotypes, now we mix up San Francisco and Berkeley? Berkeley = hippies. The few rich people who live here are probably professors who live near the hills.

Haha, I love their shots of Berkeley which make campus look a lot more like Stanfurd. I wonder where they shot this. Doesn't look like UCLA either to me...
