There's rumors that the iPhone "dev team" has figured out a way to unlock 3G iPhones:

which is good news if you travel overseas a lot and want/have a 3G iPhone and don't mind using a local number while you are travelling.
There's rumors of a iPhone Nano:

which would presumably be smaller and cheaper than the current iPhone.
There's rumors that Walmart will sell the iPhone - which seems like a big fuss over much of nothing since it will cost the same that it does in an AT&T store:

And then there's a realistic guess that Apple will intro an iPhone 3G 2.0 or something like that around June 2009 with a better camera, more memory (32GB) and maybe something cool like a video cam or something that they can make a big deal about.
While there's still several things that irritate me about my 1st gen iPhone, I still think it's the best gizmo that I've bought in a long time and I use it all the time. It's my stock tracking, weather tracking, camera, Outlook contacts and email sync'd, maps-for-everywhere, keeping children quiet in the car and in the restaurant (Everest is a hit), internet surfing, movie watching on planes, music playing in the car, lots of game playing that happens to be a phone, gizmo.
