From what I've seen, it's a generic console shooter with the Wolfenstein name slapped onto it. I wouldn't be surprised if the multiplayer for the pc version is completely dead.

Played it a bit today and got bored with it quick. Feels like yet another cookie cutter FPS to me. They borrowed a bit from COD by having squad mates follow you to scripted battle points, and borrowed a bit from Stalker/FC2 by having safe houses where you buy/upgrade weapons.

Too bad to see how the mighty have fallen, or at least gotten mediocre. "Back in the day", Raven was one of the king devs.

The game does get better - you'll have to play for about an hour before you start getting into the good stuff. :)

What does it look and sound like? Is it like RTCW at all? I really liked the gloomy feel of RTCW. Skies were almost always overcast and dreary; everything just felt "dark".

I'm starting to like this alot. It does have a gloomy Nazi atmosphere....and the weapon upgrade choices do add something. Do you buy that scope for your sniper rifle or do you invest in your Veil powers? And later you pick up more weapons and they have upgrades. And you often find yourself spending more time looking into empty buildings and lofts looking for gold. You can't buy everything. This is much more interesting than stuff that jumps out of closets behind you and very little thinking out weapon choices and upgrades.

well. I had high hopes. Looks like I'll wait for this to hit the 10 dollar bargain bin early next year. Should be ready for a fun distraction at that time. 10 bucks isn't bad for a mediocre shooter. :)

It sounds good to me. I'm currently short of money, so I won't get it now, but it's definitely on my list of games to get :^)

I played the first one and the second with a Lot of multiplayer but I think I will pass this, that kid look too young to me . Nobody survives a MG42 german machine gun hit my grandpa used to said.

Ars just put up a review and said something similar. They rated it as "skip".

Finished the Single Player Campaign last night - not too bad, but I'd say wait until the game is on the bargain bin [$30 or less]. I did enjoy abusing the special powers - made it very easy to take out a lot of enemies.

The only complaint I have about the game - you can easily miss an objective which shouldn't be the case - you should be required to go through all the objectives before boarding the zeppelin.

I loved playing through this game. I think the hub-and-spoke mission structure and coming back to a centralized area when you're done was really well done.

Not sure why people are ragging on it so much, yeah, it does seem to hold your hand a bit too much when it comes to figuring out what to do and where to go, but the gun battles are solid, the boss battles are usually fun. The weapons are good, and the veil stuff is cool to play around with, even if I'd rather beat fools down with the butt of my gun most of the time :).

I recommend it personally, I think it's a great followup to RtCW, and look forward to playing more of it (just got done with the hospital).

Just played few hours of it.
One of the worst FPS game I've played. Graphics (1920x1200) look dated back to 2005, poor story line, typical $4.99 gogamer.com games.

I'm a little surprised at your RTCW assessment; I found it very easy. I played through the first time on Normal, and then replayed it on the hardest setting, and I didn't have much trouble with either.
FG-42 paratroopers. I know this guy is an example of how not to play RTCW (shooting rockets at paratroopers?) but his video shows how quickly you die in this game. His video about the lopers is even funnier. He gets raped because he's using the smg instead of the chaingun. It appears he's playing the game on easy since this is obviously his first play of the game.

I don't see how people play this on a console with tiny heads peeping over cover.
The aiming is probably a bit more forgiving on consoles. Having slightly bigger hit boxes around the head make a huge difference.

god now i know why i stopped playing that game. 3 min into that youtube and i started feeling sick. that game is the only FPS game that has made me feel sick. i can play call to duty forever and have no issues...

Mine was fine, have probably 14 hours into it, maybe a little more, has crashed on me once, but that was it.

I really enjoyed it. Finished it last night and although it was short, most FPS SP campaigns are.
I liked the exploration aspects (finding gold/tomes, etc) and the weapon upgrades were pretty cool.
The Tesla gun and whatever the heck the last gun you got were neat to play with when the normal guns got boring. The "bosses" weren't very interesting however, there were only a couple I enjoyed.
I'm not a multiplayer type, so no comment on that aspect of it.
