I think it looks great...however I'm getting sick of the clear taillampsIt definitely looks better than the MDX and the interior of the MDX looks downmarket in comparison.![]()
And this is not "just a redesign" like what Chevy did with the '03 Silverados. This is an all new model. The old RX300 was based on the Camry platform that was used from '92 - '01. The new RX330 uses the new '02 Camry platform and uses a new 3.3 liter 240HP V6 engine.

Not too bad, but those taillights are starting to look really dated, and IMO the MDX is a handsomer, more purposeful design. The Lexus definitely trumps it in its interior design, though.

Actually, the X5 vs. RX330 comparison may be a moot point considering that all the socker moms will flock to the new Volvo SUV like bees to honey!

NFS4, you said once the MDX looks like a spaceship. Well, if the MDX is a spaceship, the RX330 is a UFO. 😛
I think the MDX is more balanced looking all around. The back of the RX looks horrible. Plus, being an owner of an MDX, I know the MDX is more purposeful. Although you can say the MDX is a glorified minivan, the RX is a glorified station wagon since these vehicles will probably never see an unpaved road. The biggest thing the MDX has in its favor is that it fits 7 comfortably. If the RX fit 7, I would have considered it. There really isn't anything in its class by Lexus. The RX is too small and the GX is too expensive with stuff I don't need. Why would an average person buying a luxury SUV need downhill assist?!? Plus, to get the 3rd row of seats in a GX is a $2K option!
Being a former owner of a Lexus, I do agree the interior is a lacking in the MDX. From the beginning, I could tell it was a poor man's Lexus interior but it isn't bad. But the car has so many things going for it that I personally think it is better than the RX.

Purposeful?? Hehehe. You're really stretchin' there😛 Face it, the MDX is totally outclassed 😉
Do you use the 3rd row seats in your MDX? I know you said that you had to child seats, but what do you put in the third row? I tried sitting in the 3rd row seat of the MDX and it was uncomfortable for me (I'm 5'10"). Third row seats on vehicles with short wheelbases like the MDX and RX300 are limited to little kiddies IMHO.
But the RX300 doesn't have a third row even as an option for little kiddies.
MUCH better. Though it does look like a Sorrento copy.
