That's the trend these days. Is bigger better? Even the smaller iPad is the better-selling model.
Will you buy a 5.5" iPhone?
Will you buy a 5.5" iPhone?
agreed, I rarely use a headset for calling so holding up a phablet is ludicrous.5.5" is huge. I hope and don't believe Apple will release a phone that size of if they do, they better release a smaller phone as well.
I'm kind of hoping they shrink up the bezel and can squeeze a 4.2-4.3" in a similar size phone as the iPhone 5/5S. I personally won't buy a phone larger then 4.8"
Love the size of the 5S. Very rarely do I find myself wanting a larger phone size. I will consider a 4.5-4.7 though. If they can keep the size down I think it can be very good and will sell extremely well...And may be my next phone.
Not interested in a 5.5 inch size though. It'll compete well with the Note and sell well but not my thing personally.
OTOH they also realize the phone growth market is in the Far East, where phablets are much more in demand and they have to cater to those buyers as well.
I think they should offer a pocketable version (like the 3.5" 4S) and a larger version (like the Galaxy Note 3). That way you can have your choice. I love big screens, but I'm going to have a hard time giving up my 4S...
I'd buy a 5.5" but don't think we'll see one this year. My bet is 4.7" this year and a 5.5" next year. Then they can release a completely new model every year and an S version of the other likely resulting in higher overall sales. Have a couple coworkers with Note 2/3 and really like them. The best phone I've had in my lately is the 5.2" LG, think it's the G2. Felt great.
If they kept the same physical size but the entire front was a screen, then that would be fine.
