I don't think they'll release a 5.5" iPhone any time soon.

I do think they will release a 4.7" iPhone, but they will also keep the 4.0" size.

Personally, I think I'd be happy with something in the 4.0"-4.3" size, depending on the bezel size and overall dimensions, but nothing over 4.3". I hate big phones. I had a 4.7" Android phone and thought the in-hand ergonomics absolutely sucked.

Eug: I agree with you. I adjusted to my Galaxy Nexus when I had it for almost a year. But really it was a joy moving back to the 5 then 5S when it got released. The size of the phone is just about perfect for me. I could go 4.3", I've been saying that is ideal for a while, but I also really like the 4" size. Maybe keep the same physical phone size with the bezels slightly reduced?

As for what Apple will do I think a 5.5" device will likely be next year if they go that large. Apple likes to efficiently ramp up production and I don't think they can hit the numbers they want right now. May also be some other under the hood things they are trying to do as well.

The 4.7" size seems prime for what they can/will do. The Moto X is a very good sized phone with regards to physical size, feel and weight. They can target something similar or maybe a tad larger with some bezel. They will sell like crazy. The only thing I hope is that they don't make it their premium spec phone and the 4" becomes the cheaper option. If they keep the same internals spec wise, processor, memory etc...obviously battery will be different and likely screen res (same ppi maybe).

All rumors at the moment. Time will tell.

Personally, I hate the large phone crazy. I want something that fits in my hand and in my pocket with ease.

I love the size of the 5 / 5s. I hope they don't increase it at all.

I've got a Droid Ultra which is 5" and the wife has the Note 3 with its 5.7" I don't mind a big phone at all. Watching video's and web browsing work great, and its actually pretty comfortable as a phone too. I don't think I would be able to down size to the current iPhone now that I've gotten use to the large phones.

If the new upcoming model of iPhone is 5.5" then I'll definitely grab one. I am always a fan of Apple but I switched to Samsung when they started to produce large screen phones. It's nice to use a wider screen than those 4" and below. So if iPhone will come up with larger screen then surely a lot of android users will shift to Apple.

I've got a Note 3 with a zerolemon extended battery case on it. It's basically the size of an external hard drive. I love it, and I can use it one handed (I'm 6'5"). If Apple comes out with a larger iphone I will go back to iOS as I don't really care for Android (nor Verizon's treatment of the Note 3)
