My NES gave me a grey screen on my tv monitor a long while ago.

I tried cleaning it, no luck. Now it's hiding in storage. :(

I love the NES. My brother took our original when he moved out, and so I bought a refurbished (i.e. connector replaced) one off of Ebay. I haven't ever been able to find my copy of Contra, but I'll be damned if I don't play Stinger, Final Fantasy, Ice Hockey, or Super Spike V-Ball at least once every weekend or so.

Good stuff.

Tecmo Super Bowl (Neal Anderson= almost unbeatable :D) , the original Zelda, Dragon Warrior, and Baseball Stars were all awesome games.

Anyone know if there's a way to play 2 player games online via an emulator?

If you aren't afraid to open the cartridge, you can replace the battery inside and it should save games perfectly.

i guess i can relate though. i still play civilization 3 once in a while, because its still fun. but there's just so many gorgeous awesome modern games out.

GSoD? OH NOES!

The NES is not indestructible. My younger brother fed my NES a gummy bear once. That was the kiss of death for my first NES.

You have never seen fury like that of a 9 year old boy deprived of his NES by his younger brother.

my atari 2600 which says on it it was built in the late 1970s works great

/wants to play missle command with atari trackball

Crystalis, and The Guardian Legend, are two of my all-time faves. For some reason many emulators have trouble with those games, thus I choose my emulators by how well those games turn out. I currently use NNNesterJ.

I have never come across a NES that still works right. The Atari 2600 on the other hand is one tough machine. I still have
my old Atari. It's been mistreated throughout it's life. (me as alittle kid taking to friend's houses, dropping it, spilling
food and drinks on it..... I was clumsy..) It's been in a garage forgotten for many years. It's covered in dust and cob webs,
it's endured miami heat for over a decade. It even survived huricane Andrew. (garage roof blew off. It got rained on)

It still works perfectly. All the games and joysticks work perfectly.
