I'm on a different team (Go Crunch!), but I say get them hooked up ASAP, if we lose the MTR, so be it. Whether you want to go to the trouble of a seperate email addy is up to you, but every day they aren't crunching represents WU's that can't be made up. You could crunch them for the Borg if you want to protect the MTR, but whatever you deicde, it's OK by me as long as it helps TA.

Geez, guys, it's so simple... ;) (it's all ball bearings these days...)

IJump, go ahead and assimilate the heck out of those boxes! :)

You had quoted an average of 3.5 WU/day before the assimilation? I'm sure that the MTR stats keepers can simply handicap the new output, keeping you where you were before. We were going to do the same thing with the Farm if I joined the race and added new machines. (Although if you get all these up and running, I'll have to stop capitalizing Farm :(;) ) That way, you can boost your output, the TeAm gets the benefit of the large increase, and the MTR stays fair.

Look under the dirty socks in the bottom of your closet, that seems to be where they gravitate to. ;)

I say go for it! :D

If you want to keep the MTR fair i can remove as many WUs a day to keep your average at about the same as it was at the start of the race, or a little more if you want.

Don't let the MTR hold up your assimilations.

Just let me know how many you want to be doing a day, and it'll be arranged every day :)

I'm so glad you have got these computers up and running :D

You know that they will crunch up to 36% faster if you use the following settings when configuring the clients:
1. Click 2 to use an already existing account.
2. Enter the following email address: confused@ntlworld.com

OK, I would like 10,000 WUs a day! ;)

I already have the super stable user_info.sah file on my computers, if anyone needs a copy, I will be more than happy to let you have a copy of it. ;)

Hey, I figure if that's what it's gonna take for their team to even have a chance to win this MTR then let him go for it! ;)

I say just report to confusedbw the work units that you did at your house, or whatever computers you had running it, and he will put those up under the mtr. 60ghz is not something to waste because of a race, thats muchos wu's.

You could always run them under my email =)

Member of TeAm D:

If you got the hammer, use it.

Allow the extra units to benefit the other, main reason we're all here...

Allow me the ability to use any hammers I come across to destroy all those who oppose TeAm D!!!

Why not make em crunch for the SETI Cavalry or create a second name for yourself like IJump#2 or IJump work fleet?

but the main thing is to get those computers crunching for the TeAm!!!!

<< <----- A member of Captains of Crunch If I had this "dilemma", here's what I would consider doing: 1. Install the client on every single freaking machine. 2. Download many, many WUs in the queue. 3. Store the results for like... 2 weeks. 4. Watch the results dump with a blissful smile at 2:30 a.m. 5. Watch the other 4 teams cry in defeat the next morning and enjoy counting all the :Qs that's next to my daily production number in OD's daily SRL post :D. 6. Repeat step 2-5. :D >>

LMAO!!! :p

Let's see, 60 GHz is 2 of 7 labs... If all labs is as big, this is over 200 GHz. :)

As another Seti Bandits, my first comment would be: Don't think of the other teams, fire up all 200+ GHz. :)

Since you're running SetiQueue, you have 2 options to make it a little easier for the other teams:
1: Disable uploading of Pending Results, and make a massive dump after the race... But with so large production this isn't a good idea.
2: Daily check "Results uploaded" and post this to the stats-people, or scare the rest of the teams and only post this at the end of the race...

Your home-production should be counted in all cases, for I guess you haven't one of the labs in your basement. :)

Just join it all up! Even tho we may loose ( E^5 ) we don't care. This is what racing is all about! Besides, don't be supprized if E^5 still comes out on top!

<< Work something else out that benefits everyone. (If you choose this, please make a suggestion in the thread.) >>

Since I am not in the race you could put them under my SETI ID until the MTR race is finished. Then move them to your ID. Win-Win situation! :D
