I just got the movie just to pass the time, but it ended up being great. Mickey Rourke did an awesome job. Apparently, they did as much research as possible to make the movie as real as possible. Great movie!
















Oh, and I did not mind Marisa Tomei topless on a stripper pole wearing just thongs and other seductive wear on numerous occasions.

yes, b/c we all know wrestlers do these stunts and never get hurt....even after years of physical abuse from jumping 10 ft in the air, they never get pains at older age.

According to the imdb trivia, Roddy Piper allegedly broke down into tears after seeing it. Maybe it hit a little too close to home for him?

researched wrestling, the "out of the ring" lives, guys struggling to move on when they are past their prime, etc.

I already know I'll like this movie. She looked amazing in "Before the Devil Know's You're Dead". Good stuff.
 
GREAT MOVIE!!

Rourke was robbed from the Oscar! He was made for this role. At least he won other awards for his performance.

Good to see that at least his career has taken off from this movie.
