That isnt going to be an easy buff job or a pull job, it looks like its in one of those places where if the body shop ties to pull it its going to shatter the paint.

that sucks man... I had a huge ding on my car too.. I hated that so bad..

some people just dont care at all about other people's car..

I took one look at your picture . . . saw how shiny your car was . . . zoomed in like they would on the set of "Las Vegas" . . . enhanced the resolution 1000x . . . took a mirrored image . . . ran it through a UV filter . . . and realized I could have saved 15% by switching to Geico.

I'd be surprised if anyone actually stays around to tell you they did it any more. My wife had the wind take her door into the car next to her once and she waited for the lady. Then the bitch tried to get her for hundreds of dollars of damage and all these dents everywhere and all kinds of crap. We finally just told her to deal with our insurance agent. Last time we'll ever be nice in a situation like that.

I know it sucks but with all the dumbass lawsuits and sh!t going on in this country, the nice people just get screwed over in the end.

leave a note with a phone #.

And of course people should be careful with doors when it's windy... I get angry at my wife for not knowing better when she gets out... she's slammed my door against a lot of objects (not cars) in the past...

I can't believe someone can pop a car like this and just leave.

hey, at least he didn't slip a note in your car saying "hey, I dinged your car.. everyone thinks I am leaving you my name and number, but i am really writing this stupid note.."

Damn, people are fvckin stupid. That's why I never park anywhere near other people. I always seek the most remote parking spot where lots of spaces are free and it's unlikely anyone else will park there.

WTF? How can someone put a dent in a door that badly unless they did it on purpose. :|

Soccermom driving a snow plow or perhaps a recreational bulldozer? 😕

I'd rather be you than me. 2 weeks ago I went to a convenience store to get a snack and I come back to see a semi dragged itself along the rear side of my car AND the top of my trunk. The fvcker was THAT big! Even better, he drove off and hasn't been found yet.

That's awesome...make it look like you're leaving your name/number then run! 😀

Edit: Not that I have ever done it, ever will do it, or condone doing it...but it's an awesome idea!

I borrowed a sledgehammer and un-dented most of the mess (Opened the trunk and slammed the inner walls to knock the dents back out) but the scratches are still all over. I'll take a pic when I get a chance

Minivans especially

I hate when I park in a space surrounded by dozens of empty spaces and come out of the store only to find some assclown parked next to me.

Am I the only one thinking of the quote from Pulp Fiction?

(something like) "You just don't fvck with a man's vehicle."

Update: I met with the dent dude and he says that it's in a tough location and would take him a long time. It's close to structural reinforcement. He could take a stab at it, but it wouldn't be 100%. So, he suggested I take it to a body shop through insurance. I called AAA... turns out it counts as collision and my deductible is $500. EEK! Plus the body shop would have to drill, repair and repaint. Not cool.

I ended up calling the dent dude again and he's going to roll his sleeves up and try next Wednesday for about $150. I'll update again then.

I hope karma gets the guy who's given me this headache, and he remembers why he's getting payback!
