It is because you have to be slightly off to want one at all, and after that you can track the progression of their mental illness by the number they have. At 2 they are losing touch with reality, at 3 they have some serious mental issues, 4 is full on delusional, 5+ and they are a danger to yourself and other.

Screw you douche. I had 5 cats until I had one of my little ones put down last week :( Seriously though, if it wasn't for my wife, I could easily be on this show. At one time I had : a tarantula, a ferret, 8 parrots, 2 cats, and two snakes. One being a 6 1/2 ft long Burmese python with an attitude.
All at the same time. If it was up to me, I could have 10-15 animals in my home. That of course would be predicated on my marital status, which would be single at that point.

I'll reserve judgment until after this is answered: indoor or outdoor cats?

Actually all of them are indoor cats.

Now the girl is really borderline OCD on cleaning. Sshe keeps up with the litter boxes at least once a day, probably more. And of course gets her carpets and tiled areas steam cleaned every 60-90 days to help keep up with all the random puking cats do.

... is that I am blessed to not have the hoarder gene really almost at all.

I mean, if I hoarde anything it's digital files I convince myself I'll watch/view later down the line. (Like porn haha) Though, not so much that anymore.

I am definitely a digital hoarder, but that only represents digital clutter.

Ive been more grossed out from some of the people on Taboo more than on Hoarders. There are some freaks on that show.

Oh man, I don't know if your post is meant as a joke but I burst out laughing when I read it and then read your name signed at the end. Holy shit that's hilarious!

And you are sick in the head, there's something wrong with you. There's also something wrong with the lady in the video and exactly why charges shouldn't be filed against her. She's mentally disturbed. The only thing that needs to happen to her is a court order preventing her from owning any pets in the future.

I was being sarcastic about the douche part yes, but the animals, no. I am forbidden by my wife, from going near any Petland, Petco, or any other big box pet store that have animal adoptions on the weekends. I can sympathize with these people, because if I didn't have my wife as a checkvalve, Itu could easily wind up on a show like this.

As recently as 8 years ago I had a cockatoo, an amazon, a blue and gold macaw and an African grey parrot in my house, along with three cats. So I guess I'm doing better now that I have it down to a manageable 4.

omg the smell must be horrible. And that cat she was holding while crying, was it just the head? I'm pretty sure it was just the head. D:

If you really don't want to let go, at least get them stuffed or something!

I finally watched the video, and no, she has a kitten in her hand. You can see its body for a brief moment when she's holding it and when she... puts it back in the freezer. o_O

Was definitely the worst I've ever seen.
At least this person was able to admit they had a problem and it seemed like she was able to recover to a normal-ish state in the end.

FYI it was not just cats in the freezer, it was other random roadkill as well.

I had to look at it twice but yeah. It totally looks like it was just a random cat head lol About the only way this could be more disturbing is if she saved only the heads. D:

The good thing is she does seem to acknowledge she has issues. It's the ones that don't realize it that are really bad.

I've watched dozens and dozens of Hoarders episodes and have yet to see even one attractive looking Hoarder. By comparison, I've seen plenty of attractive looking people with drug addictions on the TV show "Intervention". What's the connection between Hoarding and being ugly?
