Sansu Sushi in East Lansing, MI is seriously one of the best Sushi places I've been to. I always look forward to going back there just to get some sushi there.

Depends on where you go. I've had some pretty awesome Chinese food in China.

I just hit up an awesome Chinese buffet that had kickass sushi. Oriental Palace in Grandville, MI.

No offense NSFW, but the Grand Rapids area is one of the worst places in the midwest for any sort of authentic not american food. It's way too conservative and drove me nuts during the later part of highschool and early part of college because of the lack of good foreign cuisine. Some of it is good, but not in any way authentic.

Here in East Lansing we have very good Sushi, most likely because we have a very high population of Japanese international students and other Asian countries. We also have very good pretty much any other type of cuisine.

It is amazing. People here go to Omi and the like, and I nearly cry inside because they don't know the goodness of Sansu.

Just need to go to a quality place that buys the good cuts and has a good chef to prepare it

Ugh dammit, now i have a huge craving for salmon sashimi

Sushi in the U.S. is pretty much required to be flash frozen prior to being eaten. Ergo shipping & location is not really a issue. In my experience most shushi is better on the coast, but I think that's just because it's more prevalent so you can't get away with serving the bad stuff.
