No, I didn't say you did call them scammers and you are entitled to your opinion, as am I. You were the one starting the "ASSuming" crap, not me.

The doctor (radiologist) who read my CT scans and did the biopsy on my lung and I really hit it off personality wise. He knows I don't have insurance and when I ran into him at the grocery store he told me to ignore his bills when they come. He said he wouldn't pursue the matter. How many doctors do that out of the blue??? I guess he sensed my "outright hatred of medical professionals" and it scared him?

Uh, I asked if you did hate them in the post (or is it outright hatred?). I thought you had stated in a post to Hayabusa Rider in another thread that you disliked them. Sorry if I got you mixed up with someone else. But definitely  to your radiologist.

You know, you really need to quit trying to pass off YOUR opinions as facts. It just show what an ignorant troll you are.

Which opinions did I pass off as facts? I am the one who posts links with pertinent, established data in my arguments. I will stand behind the opinion of Dave that I posted. If Dave is big enough to insult and personally demean an entire industry of people, then Dave should be ready to catch flack for it.

What's this TFNN you speak of where they were crazy enough to make Dave a mod? please send pm with info.

I ventured over to TFNN and saw Dave was a mod on that site and that instantly discredited the site in my eyes.

That fact is so absolutely mindblowing that I just have to give it a shot!

EDIT: Dude, they have uncensored threads there titled "Go to Hell Dave!"... I frickin love it! lol... good times.

... and who/what gave you the impression that facts are what cut the mustard around here? Didn't you get the memo? We're all "free thinkers" around here. Peddle your graphs and pretty charts somewhere else.

Hell boy, even Hillary had a plan, what happened to it? Oh yeah, she got shouted down just like they are doing now. This whole thread turned into nothing but a circle-jerk, shout-down.

Who's shouting and circle-jerking? Look in the mirror.

What part of well-documented, well-reasoned, well-financed plan don't you agree with?

The next Congressional election is well-over a year off. That gives the current Congress a lot of time to come up with a decent plan. They don't have to start from scratch. Other non-political entities have studied the health care cost problem.

Look at who's posting in this thread, especially look at the ones trying to pass their opinions/assumptions off as fact. Look in the mirror indeed.

You haven't responded to any of my points in a meaningful way, and have chosen insults over logic and facts. Go troll someone else, I'm done with you.

I'm sorry jbourne, but I'm afraid I will have to ask you to modify your signature, as it contains some of the aforementioned graphs and pretty charts from an established source. We just can't have pertinent, established data here. If it were a comic strip, I'd let it slide.

"The media is killing health care reform"

No, the Democrats are killing health care reform.

I really believe what most citizens want first is a bill they can understand. They want a bill that their representative can understand. They want the government to be honest with them.

The Democrats are not doing a single one of those things. When the Dems get up and say there is no other alternative to a public option than to allow corporations to rape you of your monies and of your lives... When the Dems put together legislation at 3am with tack-on pork amendment buyouts, to be voted on in full the next morning... When the Dems begin attacking and insulting individual citizens with a free mind... I could go on for a long time. The Democrats are doing nothing to persuade those who do not agree with them, they are largely just pandering to those who still are high on Obamamania.

Yes, Fox News and Fox News viewers are not on the health-care bandwagon. Do any of you think Obama and his administration are doing themselves any favors by attacking Fox News from other media outlets? The Democrats should be booking spots on Fox News to get their message across, if they really cared about persuading most of America.

LOL@U

I will repeat for the slow witted amongst us. We have known about this problem for 30 years. If there was a plan we could all agree on we would know about it.

Everybody is only concerned about their own best interests so our ELECTED LEADERSHIP should come up with a plan, implemnent it, and we can tweak it from there.

Hand over all control to a largely unknown plan, then pray for them to "fix" it when "they" finally deem it "necessary"? Do you honestly believe your "we can tweak it from there" part?

I feel really sorry for all you guys saying "I support UHC, but none of the plans out there are any good so we should wait and get it right!" :(

I guess you forgot the law of the political jungle:) You can't spend decades obstructing, evading, misdirecting, putting off until tommorow, then expect to be taken seriously when your ready to talk about future reforms at 11:59:59pm on the day of the deadline:roll:

If you don't like whats in the current bills write your congressman telling him what you want in the bill and see if he can get it in there in the next month or so:laugh: Otherwize you deserve what ever gets shoved through this fall.

"We need more time to get it right" is really code for "We need more time to defeat this again"

Youre right. Any publicity is good publicity, and if the Dems had something worthwhile they go after the largest watched network.

Not going to happen, they know it would just alert even more viewers to their lies and the horrible bills they are trying to sell as "health care reform". The less scrutiny, the better.

Good points, especially the one about how they should be getting on Fox to sell this thing.

Why is there this hate for people who go to school for 8+ years and want to make money? What is wrong with wanting to be paid for learning and practicing a skill you have been honing for many, many years? Last I heard, it is okay to want to get paid for providing services. Even large amounts if your skills are specialized enough.

You mean the absolutely dismal performance of the prior Republican Administration and McCain picking a dumber than a rock Bimbo as a running mate didn't have anything to do with it?

You mean all the racist blacks that voted for Obama because he was black didn't have anything to do with it?

While there's no denying that a small percentage probably did just that, their numbers essentially become meaningless when you consider his margin of victory over McCain.

Not to mention residency. But I never understood the hatred for doc's pay either.

Same here, but you have to understand that the current insurance and market structure encourages doctors to move into highly specialized practices rather than general practice where there is a shortage. So, let them make a lot of money, but the salary should meet the demand. Fixing knee cartilage for athletes shouldn't pay more than an OB.

Given a choice of trusting health coverage to government layers of bureaucracy, -vs- insurance companies who dicate my coverage based on the how much their CEO is making in stock dividends...I reluctantly choose 'A'.

This is so neat I had to find the first health care thread & write it. At the exact *same* time on t.v. Hannity was saying the Dems are in disorder & the public option is fading fast *while* Maddow is simultaneously saying the Dems are unifying and strengthening and will fight to keep the public option :D
