"The Matrix" **Spoiler**

Spoiler for those who haven't seen the movie yet, thought if you haven't seen it yet; what are you waiting for?

---

During the scene where Trinity is in the Helicopter and it's about to crash into the building...Is it Neo's "ability" that makes the building/windows "ripple" before exploding? Otherwise, I couldn't imagine why that would prove he's the one.

The type of glass bows like that before it explodes. If you listen to the commentary they actually used real glass for that shot and searched high and low for a type of glass that would ripple like they wanted until they found it. So, presumably, a real building could have been made using that material. When morpheus comments on him being "the one" in that scene, he is referring to Neo instinctively wrapping the rope around his arm and skidding to the edge of the building without fear, because he knows that Trinity will invariably be on the other end.

No, the helicopter crashing into the building is what causes the ripple effect. Neo's "the one" because he successfully rescues Morpheus.

That wouldn't be enough to convice me; but seeing as how Morpheus "knew" from the beginning that he was The One, I suppose it all made sense to him.

Thanks!

Leave, troll. I asked a question, got an answer. Excuse me for not knowing anything about glass.

I wish people would stop calling long established and respected members "trolls". It is really degrading.

I agree, if my degrading you mean "not even close to being an applicable term."

Being here for a long time doesn't mean that someone can't be a troll. But all the same, not true in this instance.

Exactly!

And the over exageration is because IT'S JUST A MOVIE!

That should go for everyone, not just established members.

Since when does his time on this forums have anything to do with the type of person he is? The same rules should apply to everyone; newbie and old-timer alike.

I find that Amused takes any opportunity to insult the intelligence of a user and I find this to be rather annoying. Personally; I could give a damn what he thinks about me, but when I see him doing it to just about everyone in each of his posts, it gets annoying.

so what happen in the last scene of the last installment of Matrix? the one where he fought Mr. Smith and lost? how come Smith still loses. i don't understand.

Maybe long established and respected members shouldn't troll 🙂

Sometimes we thread-crap, sometimes we nef.

But a troll is someone that starts a thread with the objective of getting people upset, or enters the thread with the intention of pulling the attention towards themself also to get people upset.

Amused' comment may have been slightly rude but was in no way invalid to the conversation. Yea, it went over the OP's head. So what, just move on. 😛

(I'm just highly sensitive at the moment because someone else recently called me a troll)

anyone else find the "SPOILER" in the title funny?
Spoiling the Matrix for the ATOT community, is like telling the general public that in "little red riding hood" the wolf dies.

I haven't seen that one in a little while, but I believe that Neo let Mr. Smith "transform him" so that he could destroy him from within, since they were physically matched. I'll have to watch it again to see that scene, but I believe that's what happened.

Excuse me then. I mistook your definition of a troll for flame-bait. It appears I labeled him inccorectly, and for that I am sorry.

Well, get over it. Guess what? Trolls aren't limited to those starting threads. Ever see a cogent, respectable thread go downhill and get locked? It happened because of: a)nefs, b)thread-crappers, or c)trolls. Yes, trolls can post mid-thread with the objective of getting people upset.

Up until this point, every single person that Smith takes over has been a program in the matrix. When Smith took over his mind, Neo was used as a conduit to destroy Smith's program. Not only because Neo's body was physically plugged in at the machine city, but because Neo's "The One" subroutine was part of the "The Source", which is why all the other Smith's were defeated as well.
