The Mandalorian trailer

Some of these movie names are getting confusing. Did anyone else come into this thread expecting a trailer for a Marvel Mandarin movie?

Meh.

All the Disney Star Wars movies have been huge disappointments in terms of stories and characters. On top of which they seem to be pushing a Super Progressive agenda to the point where it actually kills the entertainment value.

Would not be suprised to find out Mandalore is actually a gay transexual, fighting against the xenophobic CIS-controlled Empire.

Honestly more interested now than I was when this was originally announced, but it looks like its still going to suffer pretty badly from the "small universe" effect that has really plagued Star Wars after the Disney acquisition. Does everything interesting in the Galaxy have to happen on one of five planets and involve one of twelve characters?

If SW has a future, Disney needs to nut up, take real ownership of the franchise and start distancing itself from the "nostalgia factor" by coming up with some unique storylines and characters that can carry a movie without a million tie-ins and callbacks to prior installments in the series. Nostalgia is only going to take this one so far.

All that being said, this is a series about a bounty hunter and I really hope they don't turn this series into Disneyfied garbage by having a Mandalorian bounty suddenly find a soft spot for a target he falls in love with/reminds him of his childhood/etc.

Nope. True Star Wars nerds know exactly what a Mandalorian is. 😛

I hope these new series turn out good. There's also a Rogue One spin-off of some sort, and Ewan McGregor is returning as Obi Wan for another series.

I'm such a Star Wars degenerate, I have no choice but to sign up for the Disney+ streaming service once these are released.

If I remember correctly, Disney stated that they will be doing weekly releases for their streaming shows rather than the Netflix-style seasonal dump.

Blah. Wait for all episodes to be available then sign up maybe?

Sigh....to many streaming services.

Pretty much sums up my opinion as well!

Yeah I'm not convinced its going to be all that good. Plus I think Disney is going to over saturate the SW market to coincide with their theme park expansion so there won't even be time to let the disappointment fade from memory before there is another disappointing movie\series\etc to watch

This series looks like trash. If it didn't have the Star Wars tie-in nobody would even care and it might not have even gotten produced. Looks like one of those 4th or 5th in the franchise movies where the original premise had long run its course yet they tried to shoehorn in one more film in a cash grab using a script from an entirely different movie.

I'm interested in it but I guess I won't be seeing it anytime soon, cause I don't want to pay for yet another streaming service. I'm already at 3 and that's plenty IMO. Well, I suppose I could just wait until all the episodes are released and then sign up for a month and cancel it. BRILL.

Disney Plus will cost $6.99 at launch. They will increase the price though....they always do.

I bet parents will love it, most people wont care.
I remember back when Disney got their own premium channel on cable. I think it cost about triple what HBO did.
And suprisingly they never played any of the Disney classic movies. Just their garbage live action films and shitty TV shows. But my day care lady loved it cuz it helped keep her kids distracted. And some other moms.
Most folks thought it was a huge rip off.

I saw a preview for it yesterday and felt...nothing. In the past it was either excitement over more Star Wars stuff or anger over how bad the storyline\acting\etc was. So basically my love of Star Wars has been killed off by all this shit around it so its just another movie that may or may not be interesting. I would probably feel sad about that if I really cared at all about the franchise anymore but I'm more interested in the next John Wick movie than anything SW

i signed up and watched it, not bad and for 6.99 a month thats cheaper than HULU and about the only thing worth watching on HULU was HandMaids Tale and when The Orville seaon starts. So far only one episode is available.

I hope they get more content, right now there isnt a lot to pick from. ive already seen all the Star Wars movies, all the Marvel movies, pretty much all the Disney movies. so ill probably drop it once ive watched all of Mandalorian
