I just noticed that NFS4 has been here 1 year longer and has 34 times as many posts as I do.

Personally, I am not impressed with BMW's. I have driven them, and I have driven better cars.

well, according to car and driver, the M3 is the best handling car in the world, period. that's pretty ultimate.

BMWs are nice, but I prefer Mercedes. I think the seats in Mercedes are far more comfortable, and I love that classic Mercedes ride (plus they look sweet, IMO)

you could also say that about the early z3's that's why i specifically did not include it (but hey, they gotta make money somehow right)

smg is an automatic for all intents and purposes... since you were wrong on 2 i decided you were wrong on #1 also. it acts as a bridge to the overpriced 911s to consumers... it was a success for porsche. plus, what real criticism can you make on the boxster besides the fact that it has a cheap interior--which is also on the 911. if anything, the new cayenne is horrible

how do you define automatic? SMG has the same 6 speed getrag manual transmission but clutch work is done by a hydraulic system. you CAN have the computer shift for you but it doesn't have a torque convertor like a conventional automatic. would you consider the ferrari F360 an auto also?

How so? The BMW M3 is one of the best looking cars they have produced. And the 745 is also (at least in my opinion).

Don't judge the 745 until you see it in person / have an opportunity to mess around with one.

Quite honestly I have no problems with any BMW out right now - but if you've taken a look at any "spy pics" of the upcoming beamers you'll see what i'm talking about. I hate it when car companies change a "classic" design into a crappy one. Another example (yet again, imho) is the civic -- the '99-'00 civics were beautiful, especially the coupes. Then look at the 2001+ models -- ugh. The newer sedans (which we have, unfortunately) is hideously ugly. The upcoming sentras (which i've only seen pictures of) look uglier than the current model.

Maybe I just have to grow into it; being a huge fan of the 300zx's from the 90's, i didn't care much for the new 350z (plus the fact that it's no longer TT ), but its starting to grow on me. Of course, it doesn't matter to car companies what I think because I can't afford it..............yet.

yes, it has a clutch but no clutch pedal. i have a diagram that i can upload if i find it. it's not by any means a "steptronic".
