Day 60: The Olympic Torch Relay takes in some of the dramatic coastline of the South East as it travels from Brighton and Hove to Hastings today, covering 108.86 miles.

Day 62: The Flame will travel 65.47 miles through 21 communities on its journey from Deal to Maidstone, carried by 136 Torchbearers. The day will conclude with an evening celebration at Leeds Castle.

Planning to watch most of the fencing, will try to catch every gold medal bout, probably will catch all of the bronze/silver medal bouts too.

Zagunis should take gold/silver for individual and we might have had a chance for another medal in the team sabre for women, but with the way the rotation for fencing in the olympics goes there is NO womens sabre team event this year 😛

Lets hope Tim Morehouse (NSFW) can help the men.

I want to see how Lee Kiefer holds up in the olympics being just 17.
 
Day 63: The Olympic Flame will be abseiled from a helicopter to the Tower of London this evening as it arrives for its seven-day journey around the Host City.

The Olympic Torch Relay – presented by Coca-Cola, Lloyds TSB and Samsung – has visited over 1,000 communities around the UK and celebrated the achievements of over 7,000 Torchbearers to date. In total 10.2 million people have lined the streets to see the Flame.

In London, the the final leg of its journey, the Torch will be carried by 982 Torchbearers around 200 miles of the capital’s streets.

Day 64: On Saturday 21 July, the Relay will start in Greenwich Park at 7.22am and finish in Waltham Forest at 7.30pm. The Relay will travel 36.35 miles and 143 Torchbearers will carry the Flame.

Day 65: The Olympic Flame spends its second full day in the capital on Sunday 22 July, being carried by 163 Torchbearers as it makes its 32.37 mile journey from Redbridge to Bexley.

After watching the Beijing opening ceremonies, I can't help but think this opening ceremony will be a let down
 
Can someone take a look at the apps available for tablet/mobile and tell me which one they think is the "better" one? I think it's the NBC Olympic Live Extra but I fuck if I know.

Live Extra works fine if your provider is on-board. My local cableco is small, and I have to register an account through "Watch TV Everywhere" and log-in to Live Extra w/ that account. WTVE verifies that my TV services include a couple NBC networks (CNBC and MSNBC) and authorizes the streaming content.

Eventually, my cableco will support other content providers. This NBC Live Extra thing is a sort of test for the WTVE system. I believe we'll see Turner Networks soon and probably similar services from ESPN, HBO Go, etc.

7:30pm Eastern time Friday night on NBC from what I have found.

the nbc live extra says my basic comcast cable doesn't include the channel...
