the lethal dose of marijuana is either about one-third your body weight, or about 1,500 pounds, consumed all at once

By contrast aspirin, a commonly used, over-the-counter
medicine, causes hundreds of deaths each year.

Nearly all medicines have toxic, potentially lethal
effects. But marijuana is not such a substance. There is no record in
the extensive medical literature describing a proven, documented
cannabis-induced fatality.

Marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the safest
therapeutically active substances known to man.

This information is no good to me in this stage of my life. This information would have been beneficial to me seven years ago. :)

If only the legal status of marijuana had anything to do with its medical safety, then your post might have some true social value. One reason that marijuana was made illegal is because Mexicans smoked it (It wasn't technically illegal, but was for all intents and purposes.)

Read up on it if you're really interested.

Well, what I really was getting at is that you shouldn't try to smoke 1500 pounds of it all at once. Though you have a point too ;) .

Wait... what? OP sucks at math! lethal dose is 1/3 of body weight, OR 1500 lbs? so their sample body weight is 4500 lbs? Huh? I weigh 200. So for me, it's either 67 pounds... or 1500 lbs... hrm. a bit of a discrepancy! Not that I would survive ingesting 67 pounds of ANYTHING in the first place. Eesh.

edit: OP is spared, I just saw the article made that funky claim.

I think the lethal dose has something to do with your father's opinion on pot and whether or not you get caught smoking in high school...

Yeah I'm sure the smoke in your lungs does absolutely nothing to you later on in life

Meh, Bullsh1t said it years ago

Anti-drug official, Mr. Weiner (Actual name)
"Marijuana is the number one drug causing teenagers to visit the emergency room"

WRONG. It's Alchohol.

Chair of Psychology, Harvard Medical School
"You cannot find a case of canabis-related death due to overdose in global medical history."

Hey, you're sure too? Well its a good thing you have your PHD, along with all the other doctors who agree with you (because there is absolutely zero evidence to prove otherwise).

And a lethal dose of marijuana to someone you hit with your car as they innocently go about their life is prolly a few puffs...

Maybe some people don't mind? We all die at some point, right?

This isn't entirely true. While there was a recent medical study that said marijuana users had a decreased risk of lung cancer compared to cigarette smokers, they are still just as likely to develop other smoking related diseases such as emphyzema.

Alcohol is legal, right? Please at least try to make sensical arguements. Of course no one in an altered state of mind should be driving.
