New Sony exclusive survival horror game developed by....wait for it....Naughty Dog.

First day purchase for me. Here is the official site with the trailer and other media to look at:

If my forum searching skills have failed me please lock this. I couldn't find another thread on this game so I created this one.

What do you guys think? I think the game looks awesome so far can't wait for release!

I'm skeptical. First let me say I have much faith in the naughty dog crew, but still I'm skeptical. Mainly of the graphics. It says at the beginning of the trailer that it's footage from an actual ps3 but the graphics seem WAYYY too good for what the ps3's console specs can really deliver. (and Im not putting ps3 down cuz its my main gaming platform...just sayin, like have any of us ever seen a game with THAT amount of clarity and detail? Even for a cutscene it looks too good to be true)

If I'm wrong and the game does turn out to look this amazing upon release...then well I'll be damn happy to be wrong about it XD

Naughty Dog always does a bang up job, but I can't help but feel I've already played this game. There's A LOT of survival-horror games out there right now. So the big question is what will be different from everything else to keep the genre fresh.

Are u kidding me? Uncharted looks great but it doesn't look near as good as this trailer. Look at the leaves for gods sake! It's like it's taken from a live video camera as opposed to an artistically rendered leaf. Just amazing.

And just in case you're doubting my gaming wrap sheet, go ahead and creep my psn trophy list ya hater 😛 (just jokin with ya)

You know, it might be true that it is rendered in real time by the PS3, but it almost doesn't matter b/c you can't interact with that early segment.

Later on the in the trailer it looks like Uncharted, basically.

This might just be a way to save money on pre-rendered movies 🙂
 
I don't see why it can't be real time. The textures look fairly low res, but the lighting is very well done and we all know ND is one of the few developers who know how to squeeze all the power possible from the ps3.

So true...I'm guessing u watched the "behind the scenes" extras that u unlock in the uncharted games? They had a somewhat technical, yet very interesting blurb on tapping into a part of the ps3's hardware that basically no other developer really uses in the way they create their games to interact with the guts of the ps3. Which I'm sure is how thy managed to make UC2 look so amazing yet still it runs as smooth as butter

Some of the YouTube comments on the video seem to ring true tho...sure as hell looks like I Am Legend.
 
I'm just glad that for once the main character and I share the same name. Me and Deadmau5 finally can play as ourselves!

First thought that popped into my head when they existed to the outside environment was this is "I am Legend" the game.
 
I was super excited to see this preview as well, till I read its PS3 only 🙁 Maybe I should break down and buy one since the prices are dropping.
