isnt all that bad. im an hour in and enjoying it. acting is cheesy ....but hey it was meant for kids. never saw the cartoon.

dont understand why the fire nation people all look like my IT staff. did Shamalan employ his whole indian tribe or relatives? weird

I never saw the toons and I did see the movie and it was so awful bad.

I believe the movie was so bad that the studio cancelled their plan for the sequel (as it supposed to have a sequel from the ending of the movie).

Saw the first few minutes of it, couldn't even make it past the 30 min mark, I could not take the punishment anymore.

The movie was utterly terrible. There were multiple points where it was almost impossible to understand what the heck was going on even if you knew the general storyline from the cartoon.

No, it shouldn't. The movie should be help up as a text book example on how NOT to do an anime/cartoon to live action translation.

Stop watching the movie right now, watch the anime. Forget the movie was ever made.

I remember hearing something like they were trying to make the names sound more asian, despite the fact the original was created and aired in america. In other words, I think it was intentional for utterly retarded reasons.

Maybe you just have really poor standards?

The movie was beyond bad, so I don't know how anyone could think it was good. Critics and common users agreed upon this. Especially fans of the cartoon series...

The whole movie, i wanted to punch someone everytime they called him "ung" ... it's Aang.. not Ung.

And they made Sokka an emo whiny brat.

And they pronounced him Soak-a.

it's Sokka... With an S.. cuz i wanna Rock-ya.

I watched it with my grand son, 10 years old and we both loved it. The ships were awesome and it was action pack. Yes the acting was awful but who cares, it's a child movie. Anybody tought the power rangers were good actors?
