Anime has come to denote any animation which has adult themes, not just Japanese Animation.

Avatar definitely had adult themes.

Going against the grain here. I actually liked the movie, although I did notice the mispronunciations of many of the character's names. They stood out like a sore thumb.

Then your eyes are wrong. Just because you see something, doesn't mean you understand it. A thinking man, like myself, recognizes this fact, and acts accordingly. Unless you want to continue to wallow in your ignorance, I suggest you do the same. Everyone knows this.
