Rumor has it if you google the title of the article, you'll be able to read it....

and as good as the film is, it's quite flawed and misleading.....

flawed? Misleading? Do tell.

So, you contend that the film was fully truthful? That it isn't manipulated to reach a desired goal?

I don't contend anything. You were the one that stated it was UNTRUTHFUL, and I'm asking you to show me how/where.

Generally speaking I think any documentary that is made as a "retail product" skews the info somewhat in their favor to sell the drama. But you seem to be pretty determined that it is "quite flawed and misleading..." What are your sources? I'm interested in the truth

Is this in theaters? DVD? I read an article about this a long time ago. Wanted to see it, forgot about it, etc.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0923752/

Flawless and entirely entertaining. One of the best movies of 2007 no question

So, it was actually *filmed* in 2007? I thought maybe i heard about it two or three years ago.

I wouldn't go so far to say KoK is fraud, but the film is set up to be a 'Rocky' type "root for the little guy" movie...

Manipulated to set it up as a good guy/bad guy story.... only fools and children see the world that way...

Fools and Children? Jeebus man are you Billy Mitchell?

Of course they took and manipulated the "Script" to make it entertaining. I didn't tune into the History channel. I'm watching a move designed and built for entertainment. Do the make Mitchell look like a prick? Yes. But using Billy's own words and arrogant self. He did that not the producers.

I think you are taking the movie a TAD to seriously. Just a tad....

Just as a side note, did you even read the long article pasted here?

Many of the prominent people in the article state the movie is accurate but not fair. There's a distinction there that I'm not going to explain or argue.

oh, the irony.....

What irony? Where have I even suggested me being "serious" about the movie except that it is entirely entertaining and well done. I'm not watching it to see "whos the best DK player in the world OMG!!!!!!"

I'm watching it to see an entertaining story. And that is what I got 100 fold.

For a "documentary", the movie is apparently pretty one-sided, according to most of the stuff I've read. The guy who had the original high score isn't half the asshole he's made out to be.

i dont know how truthful this movie is but when that Bill guy walked into the arcade and and made some comment about not shaking some peoples hands (referring to that wiebe guy that was playing on a Donkey Kong machine) that really made him look like a real arrogant asshole

heh i finally got it in from netflix. i was a bit skeptical because of the hype, but it was actually very good:) so many strange people lol, and a serendipitous story for the documentary makers. they basically lucked their way into a good story:)

even better, the special features were very good, including the two commentaries, the second commentary was pretty funny, they didn't hold back making fun of the people lol:) esp billy of course. as for the supposed one sidedness, its delt with in the special features/commentary.

Honestly, it felt like from the very beginning that Bill was a bad guy. He never had a good side for the whole film.

You couldn't make this stuff up. This movie was amazing.

yea, even if he's sometimes a decent guy, he's playing a part. 'm sure he's cultivated his image to be quirky to stay famous. being just a regular nerd doesn't work obviously, billy mitchells been in other documentaries and stuff because he's so obvious. i guess a certain amount of fame helps with his business.
